    Eng Code P0442 & P0449

    Our 09 Tahoe gave codes P0442 & P0449. Awhile back the 442 came up, replaced the gas cap with a GM cap from GM Part Direct. Just the other day 442 & 449 came up, reset the light and it stayed off for about a week. Any other ideas?

    What rotors do you recommend?

    I agree with the drilled and slotted, get the cryogenic treatment (money well spent). I use those on our 2009 LTZ pulling a boat and they resist warping with the added heat generated with the extra weight. Tire rack is where I got mine, their price is not bad.

    Newbie here and need advice based on mileage

    My brother had the same problem with his 04 Tahoe. There is a service bulletin about if you change the coolant, water pump, t-stat, ect… to put some type of tablet in the coolant system. He got the tablets from the Chevy dealer and it took care of his problem.

    Dash cracking

    My brothers cracked on his 2013 Suburban, mine cracked near the airbag on our 2009 Tahoe. My brother paid just over $400 for a dash from the dealer and we installed it in 2.5 hours. It's not a simple install. Still debating if I am going to replace mine.

    Service battery charging system

    Same thing happened to me several weeks ago. When to a local tire shop where I buy tires, they check the system said everything was good. Took it to my local Chevy dealer, they check and said the battery was on the border of being bad. Had them replace the battery and no problems now.

    2001 Silverado Lifter ticking with cold

    I had a 96 Silverado with the 5.7 vortex with the same problem. I was using full synthetic oil, switched to a blend and the problem went away and never came back. my brother in-law has a shop and said he has seen a few engines using the full syn would cause the lifter noise.
