    I recently replaced mine too. Just take a picture of it and show it to your local car yards. There is bound to be a GMT800 in there somewhere.

    I noticed mpg increase after I changed the water pump. Used to be 17-18mpg. I usually get 19-20 now. Not a lot but it's something.

    I don't have pics but there is definitely enough space there for what you want. I have something similar in mind with the lights and installed some LED strips there to glow out of the vents. The output wasn't great though, so I scrapped it. You may be able to work something out though.
