This exact same thing happened to me this morning.
Temp gauge went to 0 and fans kicked on. Pulled over and fans ran for about 5-10 min. Restarted, and temp came back to normal.
And no CEL...
So this is the thermostat goin bad?
Btw, this is a 2016 Denali...
You are right about that!! And i thought the V6 was supposed to be more fuel efficient....its not....
But i do like some of the bells & whisltes it has....but i'm ready for my Denali back..
So my '16 Denali is in the shop getting a ding repaired and they gave me a 2023 Ford Expedition Max to drive for the weekend.
Pretty neat features and i'm very impressed with the center display. It's HUGE!!
Not too bad but i want my Denali back...
I dont do any towing with my '16 Denali but looking to get the slotted/ drilled rotor package from Powerstop. But only plannint to get the rotor and pad combo not the calipers.
This a good idea?
I swapped my front pads for Akebono's a while back...no dust whatsoever...
However i'm getting ready to change them out and was wondering about the Powerstop deal...
My extended warranty company told me the same ******** when my #4 lifter failed...
Had to prove that i had oil changes done at shop every 3000 miles.... My repair cost me just over $5600..
Lesson learned...screw those extended warranty's
When i got my '16 Denali, i went ahead and changed all the fluids to establish a baseline for me. Unfortunalely, i had a lifter collaspe earlier this year....
So i read some of the contract last night...
They want the oil changed every 100 days or 3000 miles whichever comes first..
Who the hell does that nowadays???
That's what the tech told the warranty company but they still denied.
Picked up today and she feels good!! However I heard a clanging sound after I got home. Turned out they forgot to install the nuts on driver side exhaust flange just before the cat. Anyone know off top of their head what...
I dont think it was OEM...i believe it was Dorman...and i can tell the difference with it. Vibration not as strong as OEM but i can still feel it. Took me about 10 min to install.
