Looks like a mass recall in the works for the 10 speed 2020-2022 Duramax models. (461K units) The 10 speed for duramax is slightly different from gas models as they’re not affected appearantly.

Transmission Control valve.
Seems to be a required step, mights as well put a disconnect switch in. since you’ll be putting a lot of work into it anyways to get it tow ready, small job. seems not to affect anything as it’s recommended.
Here’s topic on it from tyf...
I’ll never be able to compare to Ford. never owned one never will. the looks, the layout, the infotainment, all one big turnoff to me. But …agree on Denali door handle for passenger side. to remove it on high end trim makes no sense.
My SLT Duramax has been flawless but then again, just at 10K...
I think you can build the 23’s online because there’s stock somewhere. no shortage of yukon stock right now. locally back to employee pricing and trucks still moving hardly. some been on the lot 400+ days.
Probably will get a better deal by $10K diff on a 2024
Not sure how much the price went up but seems to go in the 1000’s every few months
Also new Duramax won’t be avail until May 2025 (according GM website)
Hi All
Looking around to see if worth upgrading from 2023 SLT Diesel to 2024 Denali Diesel (Air ride)
I just noticed the 2024 Denali does not have the passenger extra handle to pull themself into car. this always been removed on the denali ?
Still love my SLT, only have 10K miles on it and...

We like the microminnie design very much, had a 2108 before. stable towing and descent value for what it is. easy to work on. 1720 we have a is pretty small, good for about 2 week trip with 2 people & small dog.
WD hitch makes the ride nicer for sure, even with our small 3800lbs travel trailer the “tugging” much less with WDH and very little sag (420lbs on the tail)
because it’s a lighter trailer went with andersen wdh, has anti sway system baked in but the short winnebago tandem axle trailers are...
If you put your foot into the 5.3L it has more then enough pickup, many have sold or traded from 6.2 to a 5.3 because of the fuel cost. there’s always a time and aplace where even a 6.2L is not enough power
The future of the global climate will be decided in Asia and Latin America, by poor people who couldn’t give a-s-s about saving the planet. Good speech about it, bang on.

I see the carplay removal as a plus myself.
Initially when apple carplay was announced I was hoping to overlay just about every app. not so. it’s pretty useless and has been exactly as it was released in 2014. sorry, but I find it a dog.
Biggest ugly issue I see here is the towing situation in Yellowstone that along with no cell service to call.
Looks like GM support network came through as good as possible though.
I Doubt if Toyota or any other manufacturer would have faired better in helping you out.
Have a few more trips with the trailer now. The (higher) LifePO4 battery voltage seems to cause the issue. with the TRL Battery fuse pulled the issue is resolved it seems. I added the lifepo4 battery to the trailer when I got the new Yukon Duramax, hence I did not see that issue with the 5.3L.
Must have more than 6 months in service or have more than 8500 miles. otherwise no.
Double check with a dealer but as far as I know GMC will transfer warranty.
