Just joined the 2021 Yukon lifter group

You can L9 all you want (as do I to eliminate DFM vibration) but the problematic parts are what they are. L9 won’t solve that.

    New vehicle recommendations

Hey, XL or short body choice just depends on how bog a family or if you have a hobby that requires long body style. I’d buy a 6.2L if it did not require premium gas and to get it you’re into the higher trim levels. not avail on SLE or SLT or Tahoe lower trims. Both gas engines are pretty...

    No chips yet?

Don’t lot of items missing actually have anything to do with chips. labour shortages or China supply chain issues are more likely. my ventilated seats were missing on my Sept/2022 bought Yukon but were installed in December.

Those with 2023 orders and updates.

Pickup truck market is in a significant downturn right now. hopefully it will help Yukon builds

Those with 2023 orders and updates.

Will keep the group posted! Just ordered an Yukon SLT Duramax, SLT Luxury package, 4WD, Sliding console. Tricoat paint. dealer still showed delays on max trailer so scrapped that option.

I think the dealership destroyed my engine

These engines probably won’t run without oil, you would not have made it out of the parking lot. mechanic probably would not even been able to drive it out of the bay. Oil pressure would have shut it down.

2023 Tahoe HC with SC. Should buy it or wait?

Tahoe trade may be worth retail in 6 months from now if you’re still dying to order a Yukon. pretty good chance you won’t loose much or very little. like one said. bird in the hand.

2022 Tahoe w- 7950 miles dead in the road

Apples and Oranges 737’s total production since the 60’s is around 11000 units. GM produces 11000 Yukons in two months, there’s no point in comparing much of anything in aircraft production or quality to car manufacturing. MTBF on the harddisk in my PC is 114 years (yes that’s years). could...

2022 Tahoe w- 7950 miles dead in the road

My PA31P broke down on a regular basis…1976 aerospace quality..redundancy that meant you had to fix two engines instead of one. if you think it’s hard to get a car fixed try that. GM’s warranty process is controlled. dealers can’t just throw parts around or touch the car without approval...

    Travel Trailer Sag

Ball height matters as the wrong angle requires different/more force on the bars to level out the car. often in a high ball scenario the installed bars are not capable of lifting the tail end up enough. incorrect install or too small bars. But without the bars the car would indeed sag just as...

    Travel Trailer Sag

Considering the Anderson WDH myself. mainly because of it’s no noise and easy hook/unhook setup. our trailer much lighter @4000lbs. without the WDH yukon drops 1.25” in the rear at 485lbs tongue weight. Always had air suspension cars before and never seen sway so did not bother. just like to...

    Travel Trailer Sag

My guess is they set the ball to high. estimate you have about 500lbs on the ball still and not enough weight is being moved to the nose.

Trading in my beautiful 2021 Denali for Mercedes Benz GLE 450

You’ll Love the 9G-Tronic transmission, shifts as fast/crisp like a sports car. 75000Miles later ours still drives like new. 1300RPM @ 70MPH. just did the transmission service on ours, bit of an ordeal but got it done.

2023 Chevy Tahoe Aftermarket Brake controller

On my Yukon I installed a different controller. Tekonsah. wiring wise/fuse was all ready to go- did not have to do a thing. are you checking this with the trailer plugged in or a tester in the back ? and yes the tape was the hardest part for me. sticky as hell. CURT>>>> Blue matches with...

2022 YUKON DENALI XL - 1st Oil Change

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the current 5.3’s and 6.2’s don’t have EGR which helps greatly keeping the entire system cleaner. most of the more frequent oil changes (including me) are probably more piece of mind and hobby related that an actual requirement. Best preventative maintenance you can...

    2021 Tahoe Misfire

they checked the coils for output ? Coils can produce misfire, shudder, and sensations like a rumble. particularly when the EGR is wide open. know what the code is ? Flashing check engine light is a significant problem generally, like out of oil, surprised a misfire would throw that.

The most disappointing news yet, the return of auto start/stop

May be the last car you’ll ever have, just about any new car has his feature and have never heard of an industry wide starter failure yet. It’s one of the most useless features for sure I don’t like it and find it extremely hard to believe it actually saves fuel. Wonder if the police car...

    Transmission slipping

No dipstick for fluid level, they undo the filler plug and fill until it runs out at temperature, there’s a lot of fluid in the pan and that pickup pump sits pretty low. could be a sensitive P/R/N switch panel. do you remember if it stayed in D for sure maybe flipped to N, transmission I don’t...

Do you get what you pay for in Tires

Never had a car long enough to buy tires, well except the wife’s car. bought a set of Nankang SP9 Tires for it, got about 37000 miles out of them 3/years. were $99 each on amazon. 245/60/20” I’d say good value but probably not the best tire out there. OEM MB is continental and had not much...

    Rattle in the rear

Not sure about 07’s but my 23 had a rattle. found it to be coming from a vent hose/plastic connector around the fuel filler neck. could see it from under the car. tie wrapped the vent hose and solved it.
