What are the chances of breaking an oil pan bolt while torqueing? I've just read it happens in other threads. Checking pan alignment now Iamdub Edit: Timing cover was a hair off with oil pan. I rtv the hell out of every corner and have it sitting now.

The cracks came from the left drive side of the pan near the oil filter. As for the RTV good thing I haven't torqued down the oil pan. Ill have to drop the pan a bit and apply the RTV in those areas. I rtv the gasket/oil pan. Sent from my SM-S215DL using Tapatalk

RTV the engine block four points or gasket/oil pan? Tomorrow I will triple check everything. As far as cracking I'm not sure if it was my torque sequence?

True about the L33 cam I just read something where it offered more power than the stock LM7 cam but nothing noteworthy and/or worth the effort. At this point and the money I have spent I wish I went ahead with a more aggressive CAM and forked out the extra $$$ for a tune. Headers even worth...

Still waiting for parts guys. Have pulley and water pump off. Removed 8 10mm bolts on the timing cover but it isn't budging and I don't wanna have to pry more. Would two oil pan bolts be bolted into the timing cover? Chilton only refers to 8 bolts which are removed.
