Which mounting brackets do I replace?

Is it every downshift or when rolling to a stop? I remember browsing past a thread on here that mentioned something about the slow rolling 2 to 1 downshift being in the valve body of the trans.

    6.2 cam ideas

That cam is way too big lol If you're not opposed to changing converters then your selection has opened up quite a bit, and there will be too many options for us to just "recommend one". Before I decided to go further with my build I was just going to run the TSP S2 Ls3 cam. There's quite a few...

    6.2 cam ideas

Depending on what you're willing to do with it, I would stay around 210 to low 2teens intake and ~220 exhaust duration. Lift no more than .600 with a little tighter lsa. That will allow for decent mid range and overall gains without affecting vacuum, converter performance, or driveability too...

    6.2 cam ideas

Depends on what you want out of it. Looking to make low end torque, mid range power, a decent gain throughout the whole curve? Plenty of options out there, just need to decide how you want it to act.

Randeez 2012 Budget Yukon Denali Build (stick on hood scoops galore)

Agreed. Patience is hard to come by when you've put so much time, energy, and money into something and you want to see results out of it. Especially when it's within reach. Let the air turn around and let'er eat. On your 11.25 pass you were only .030 better in the 60' than I was the other...

Randeez 2012 Budget Yukon Denali Build (stick on hood scoops galore)

What converter did you end up running, what's your staging procedure? Have no doubts you could get that 60' lower without changing anything but staging and how you leave. 330' on point! 100 and 125 is definitely enough mph for 10s, so close!!!

    Exploding driveshafts?

Ya got me there bud, I have no idea. I may just be overthinking my simple thinking, but the driveshaft speed should be the same at a given mph in one gear vs another. Otherwise the ciritcal speed formula would involve other variables besides mph, final drive, and tire height. Unless you have a...

Another Lowered Denali and 1/4 Mile Data

We're back!! Hit up the track back on the 28th and forgot to post. Good news and bad news. Good news is the trans cooler is working great, it is an hour drive one way and I drove there raced and drove home without making a single change. And...... I almost went PAST my 60' goal with a 1.905...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Pro tip, the old "If I can't warranty it I can't charge you for it". Find an O'Reillys with a brake lathe, tell them that no other shop will do them because they're aftermarket and drilled/slotted and they wouldn't be able to warranty the work. Whether they would end up 1 though under minimum or...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Forgot to post last weekend. Welded up the tabs for the chains. When bolted in there is only 1/4" to 3/8" preload on the strut (yes I will be swapping to a clevis in the future). These plus the rest of the suspension work I picked up .2 in the 60' in ~3,500' higher DA than the previous best.

    Exploding driveshafts?

That's a good question, I asked my buddy who has a ppv. He said ppv is lowered 2wd, ssv is standard 4wd, both stock drivetrain but ppv is rated to 130mph. It is not unheard of to have a factory driveshaft balanced to a higher rpm, the factory tolerance pretty low. Perhaps during the conversion...

    Exploding driveshafts?

@swathdiver I believe the guys are correct. 4hi, 4lo, 6speed, 10 speed, 30mph is 30mph. With a fixed tire size and rear gear ratio the driveshaft will always be spinning at the same speed at 30mph because the reduction is done before the driveshaft. What will change is the necessary engine rpm...

    Exploding driveshafts?

Aside from 60' and 330' testing I have only made one 1/4 pass on the street and trapped 105, the last little bit was pretty sketchy to say the least. Since the installation of the 4.11s I have only done 1/8 until I get a driveshaft. With the 4.11s and 29.5" tire the driveshaft speed would be...

    Norcal_ss Lowering Kit Warning

I'm not sure what you have. I ordered Belltech 4922's, they're listed as 1.26", I have yet to bottom out the shock or bumpstop though. There is a hole on the bumpstop pad on the axle already, I just bolted them on there.

    Norcal_ss Lowering Kit Warning

Sorry to hear about your troubles. This is exactly what I did. No "kits" were going to drop it the way I wanted, replys to messages were very short or lacking information, and I noticed nothing was proprietary in his packages so I researched and gathered parts myself. Nothing wrong with his...

Truck did something weird on the way to work today. When I put the Declads on a couple weeks ago I didn't bother with tpms sensors since I have two sets of wheels, was just going to deal with the light or see if I could turn it off through HPTuners, which has come on every drive since putting...

Yep, 315/50/17s all around. Best part about it is the IHC arms bring the hub surface in towards the center of the vehicle a bit, so they're sitting nice and flush and don't rub at all Haha idk about daily pics, at least not flooding them in here. I'll add some to my thread. I'll leave you...

    Fuel pump

I'm not familiar with the early 2000s fuel system. The issue with the 08-14s is the larger pump tries to blow by the factory regulator and the fpcm cannot control it, it will not run correctly without bypassing the factory regulator and running an external with a return line. If the early 2000s...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

About the only thing "custom" was fitting a set of QA1 single adjustable shocks on the rear which involved just centering the eyelets in the brackets with a couple washers lol. It's all bolt on stuff though. IHC 5" front arms and endlink kit. Stock spindles, stock struts DJM Trailblazer 4" rear...

Thank you! It's been a long road, I'm really happy with how it turned out. The design of the control arms brings the wheel in a little bit. Before the drag radials were almost 2" outside the fender and looked goofy as hell. Now they're out a 1/4-1/2" and look mint. I think I may actually get...

Just kidding, it is, and it's flush :head3: Decided to put the drag radials on and park with all the low boi's at the meet last night. Front lip is 3.875"!! IHC 5" front arms and endlink kit.
