    Gas Guage

From what i have seen, you can't test the stepper motor. But most likely, you could test the sender unit. Shop manuals should give you the min-max resistance coming off the sender and you can compare it with what yours is putting out.

    Tires Tires Tires

SEcond that. I was leaning toward more or less stock tires. Want to get good all weather running with good gas mileage. I was leaning toward a cooler tire (off road type) but not sure if it is worth it for truck that will not see much off road use... but they just look so much better.

Problem with rear heat after replacing controller

Just wanted to add... My gas gauge that has been acting weird and moving to random locations, or not lining up with the gauge marks; but still sweeps to give a rough idea of how much fuel i have left. I suspect a bad stepper motor. After a did the calibration, It was working perfectly for about...

Problem with rear heat after replacing controller

My issue was that it was blowing but it was always cold. so blend door was closed. The heater core was getting hot, but it was not getting through to the ducts. I don't remember if the other actuator was working but knew i had to deal with it anyway so started taking things apart. If by air, you...

    Soldering Iron Help

I picked up a killer soldering station with digital readout from radio shack for 14$ or so. Super deal. I would look there occasionally and you might get similar deal, especially at a RS in location where there are few do it yourselfers like in the city. I agree that the gun/instant on is...

Removing rear quarter trim panel- cargo bolt?

I tried, but mine was super tight and was not able. I did not want to mess it up though. I used a piece of 1/8"-1/4" rubber with channel locks.

Removing rear quarter trim panel- cargo bolt?

Here are a few more photos. Below that there is a press in fastener. This was a pain to get out but I managed to remove without destroying. The yellow trim tool is useful for getting this fastener out. It also helps remove some of the trim. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This image shows...

Problem with rear heat after replacing controller

So I finally figured out how to reset/recalibrate the actuators. Here were the exact steps I took. (These are mostly copied from another post, i just clarified them). The actuators NEED to be installed before you do this step. I had them hanging and it will not work. Since they had zeroed out...

Problem with rear heat after replacing controller

Ok, Just replaced the controller PN 15832319, (replacing the OEM 15185966) at the rear of my 2004 tahoe. I had pulled off the actuators (both 52402599) since i was trying to trouble shoot it all but have been unable to put them back on since they are not centered (they seem to be at the zero...

    Leak, passenger front side

Rear window belt So I also looked at the other windows. They all seem to have gaps at front and rear. I guess this is normal. I can't imagine that all of these were replaced so it must be OEM.

    Leak, passenger front side

New part (belt) installed So the 1/4" seems to make a huge difference in that part fits under the mirror assembly. Hopefully that will fix my worse leak. But at the rear, the new part seems to have a notch i had not noticed when i first got it. See picture. Does anyone have this? I guess these...

    Passenger door panel controls clip

When I went to fix leak issue, found that morons that went into the door destroyed the receiver (female) part that the window controls clip into (see picture below, white part). Seems like it can be replaced. Anyone know if this can be ordered at GM? They had just glued the whole thing back in...

    Leak, passenger front side

Well, I finally got the new belt. It is a 1/4" longer than the one that was on the truck. Other than that, it is equal. I have to check length on driver side. Hope to do this tomorrow. Mr. 960, where exactly is the notch to be cut? I need to recaulk the vapor barrier. But issue I have is...

2004 GMC Yukon SLT - Rear Air

Well, i ordered the 1573506, but i am told that the number on the part itself is actually 15832319. Funny thing is rockauto sells both, one is $20 more than the other. But they are the same and PNs cross reference. It is a little confusing. I will post when i receive the part.

2004 GMC Yukon SLT - Rear Air

Does anyone know the difference between the module assembly 15832319 and 1573506? The service bulletin refers to the first as proper replacement part, but when you look up on rock auto or amazon, the second part comes up as possible replacement. There is a difference of 20$ or so. Why the...

Removing rear quarter trim panel- cargo bolt?

I am in process of removing my rear quarter trim panel in attempt to fix AC/Heat blender issue. I have removed all trim, but am stuck on the cargo net bolt. It seems to have some capture nut on back. It is a black plastic on outside with a bolt on inside. it has three indentations on edges...
