Help!! Penny in cigar lighter problems

seems like it would be easier to run some new wires. But the burnt ones could have damaged other wires. Definitely open up harness and find out how far back damage goes and replace those wires. Not hard to do. Make sure you replace with equal or better wire.

Lifting 03 Yukon XL 4x4 with quadrasteer

As soon as you lift, you are most likely going to loose MPG. If you put more aggressive tires, more loss of MPG. I heard you can gain a tiny bit by installing an electric fan, but i have never seen any actual numbers from testing to prove it makes much of a difference.

    Lifting stock 2004 Z71

Yeah, I don't see the point of lifting to go up so little. gr86ss, that is a difference of 1/2" in total diameter of tire, so 1/4" of lift on tires. I think i am going to keep it stock for now. Don' t have the money to put into new tires, plus lift, wheels, adjusting speedo, etc... I have two...

    Lifting stock 2004 Z71

I have a 2004 Z71 with stock everything. Tires are 265/70R17 and are starting to crack and rears are past 40% of remaining tread. This is our daily driver so not looking to go crazy. But thought it might be good opportunity to put on a mild lift. Here are parameters: 1. Not looking at...

    Denali v Tahoe/Yukon

I have a 2004 Z71. It is 2wd, 4low, 4high, and auto. Never used the auto. I did use 4 wheel drive last winter in about 8" of snow and it worked really good, even though my rear tires are past the 50% mark. It has a posi in the rear so that helps. It is a pretty heavy truck so that helps. It is...

ISGM655 for 2004 tahoe- Bluetooth and phone integration

I love it. Only problem is that cycling through the input options is a real PITA, and a little unsafe to do while driving. unfortunately, it is the way it is. If you are listening to music through your smart phone, and using the GPS, it goes through speakers. Kind of cool. Also, if you get a...

    Best DIY book

The 4 factory books are poorly written compared to other manuals i have read. You constantly have to jump back and forth to do one procedure and you waste a lot of time in the process. Drawings are repeated multiple times, even thought they are exactly the same. This takes up huge amount of...

    Replacing metal brake lines

Cool. I was really looking to only replace the required lines. I also thought of buying NiCopp or stainless pipe. Much cheaper if you flare yourself than buying SS kits. Have you ever used NiCopp? Also, any recommended flaring tools? Was looking at hydraulic ones. Sent from my iPhone using...

    Replacing metal brake lines

Have you done it? I have done all sorts of brake work and am not concerned about the basics. I was just wondering if there were some impossible to reach areas, or other parts that you had to remove to install brake lines. I have considered doing my own and getting a hydraulic kit. I have used...

    Disable DRL on 2003?

Why would you disable? It is a safety feature ensuring the other clowns on the road actually see you during the day since they are distracted with their cell phones, text, and putting make up on.
