Jimmy Jammer makes the protection plates for all the doors and rear hatch I believe. They also make special screws for your taillights so that they can't steal them.
The doors are painted underneath the side-moldings. Just take your time when your pulling the moldings off so that you don't scratch your paint. I did this with my 2001 Tahoe the other day and it looks awesome!
A cam would need to have matching flowed heads and intake. I would also have the throttle body bored out as well so it gets plenty of air. Cam's can be hard on motors with over 100,000 miles is what I've been told.

Aftermarket radio would be easier to wire everything too, but as already mentioned a LOC will work just fine. Be sure to make all your connections tight and solid so that none of your wires pull loose and or short out.
Well my budget currently is going to be around $450-$500 this winter when I do lower it but I'm looking for opinion and options now.
I really think a 5/5 would be killer sitting that low, however, I think a 3/5 could suffice for now until I can get some keys for the front later.
