- Steering wheel issues...some say bearings are bad, other dealers are telling me it's the entire shaft. Either way it's ($400-$1200)
- Pwr steering leak with main hose. $900 to replace fittings and new line
- driver seat was loose and would shift (repaired under warranty at 35k but seems to...
I hear you...I am in the same boat although I already own a 15 YukonXL I'm deciding between going with a 17/18 yukon or the new Expy.
Regarding the new expy, give it time they will have more wheel options. If I recall the yukon only had one true 22" wheel option when first released. There...
we just hit 68k with our 15 XL and it's time we dump money into and keep running it or unload it. Unfortunately, I think I'm already pass the point of unloading without taking a huge loss due to the mileage. i have a handful of repairs that need to be done and unsure if it's worth it or take a...
I would agree except when comparing to expedition/navigator folks here are referring to the 18 models which are entirely different.
Imo, When it comes to full size SUV, they can only be so good in the "looks" category
finally had one break loose on our '15 Yukon this past weekend. My plan is to use a plastic weld glue in a few spots. I think the heavy duty (outdoor) 3m tape or similar will work just fine but feel the key is to scuff both contact points to ensure it fully adheres. I've used that stuff for...
We are considering looking into a 17 but NO WAY would I buy my 2015 Yukon XL again. We've had a handful of minor issues and I could live with most, however, the one thing that has been bad is the vibration and buffeting issue that can't be totally cured. I've gone through mutliple sets of...
Ditto...been using the quick interior cleaner for years and love how simple and clean it leaves everything. No shine, no grease, etc.
I've used the 303 aerospace before but even that leaves behind a slight shiny residue.
I suppose if you have 2 or less kids this makes sense. 3+ kids forget the bench..it's just a pain IMO. We (4kids) had the bench and within a month swapped for buckets. I too have yet to talk to anyone that wants a bench over the buckets.
However, I am talking LWB trucks not a tahoe or...
yep, it's good but not great when comparing to other similar priced vehicles. The harmon kardon system in our jeep is much much better than the bose system in our yukon.
.
I'm one that prefers the newer style seats. I can't stand the era where seats were like pillows with horrible ergonomics. I prefer contoured support as in the euro style. If I were napping and watching a movie, maybe I'd take the 80s style conversion van style seats.
Maybe a cheap $50 hid kit.
Ask any reputable company...a quality hid kit out performs any aftermarket l.e.d. setup. However, I'm sure the led is an improvement over the stock halogens.
correct. I don't know the actual detailed differences...different bowl shapes, cutoff, light pattern, etc. so yes the projector itself distribute the light differently. One is designed for a halogen bulb. Is it worth it to upgrade housings, definitely not, but there is a difference.
I am...
not if you go with OEM type ballast and bulb...regardless of the ballast bulb type, the projectors are still not True HID projectors. They will appear as oem and be a HUGE upgrade, but they still won't be identical to oem just because they are HID.
I am running a quality ballast with Philips...
This is a mod I've been wanting to do with our SLT. The LTZ/Denali lids look much cleaner and nicer, IMO. The open holders and storage just look mini van like/generic and looks worse once filled with junk.
quality ballasts and bulb is the only way to go. It will never be equal to the LTZ or Denali as they have different headlights but a quality oem bulb and ballast will be almost as good and a huge upgrade from the halogen setup.
stay away from the $100 HID garbage kits.
Sorry...good catch.
They were a factory option or an accessory only option... maybe in 14 or 15 with the silverado/sierra???
Option Code: CK159
found this pic on the forum...
I think the current 6 spoke look sharp in black...
Well, in town I'd say they are just as nice if not nicer riding than the premiers. However, with my latest road trip last week there's a pretty bad vibration above 60mph so the plan is to drop off this week at tire shop and have them rebalanced. It's the wife's daily driver so I haven't had a...
I spoke too soon...Took first 2hr hwy trip since having Michelin Defenders installed (oem 20") and at 60mph+ experienced horrible buffeting again. And mind you, prior to the Defenders, I had the Premiers which were re-balanced a few times over 18 months and eventually eliminated the buffeting...
