2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

I agree and why I'm holding out for a real fix (re buffeting) or will most likely unload for 18 expedition.

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

Wow, unreal...but not surprising given everything I've heard and read and dealt with myself. You could go to independent tire shop and then send letter to GM with bill and make it clear you are done with GM if they are unwilling to cover. I've heard some being successful with this process...

I've had 3 of these new Tahoe/Yukons..no issues

Yes, that's paper of it but many factors can contribute to the buffeting. By the way, there are several videos that have been posted of the roof on these trucks flexing like a rubber band during normal driving conditions. Take a look at the hood the next time on the hWY and watch how badly...

    Steering wheel removal?

Anyone? I'm assuming it's the same process as the 2014 sierra/silverados?

I've had 3 of these new Tahoe/Yukons..no issues

I saw this a few years ago and it is hilarious... Ironically, my daily driver is a 2011 grand cherokee overland. Bought it new and recently hit 90k... has been to the dealer one time over that 5+yr period.

I've had 3 of these new Tahoe/Yukons..no issues

I'll chime in again...Yes, this is not about being picky or wanting perfection. It's not so much a defined sound as it is a sensation. I suppose under a bad case one might be able to pick it up when recording but I'd say most of the issue would not be able to be recorded. It is a...

Escalades having the same issues ?

Not a huge item given we're talking a large suv but the escalade also has "sport tuned" adjustable suspension.

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

Sorry to hear...I'd push for new tires to help with buffeting/pressure assuming you try to keep ownership.

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

Did you ever drive in M5 mode yourself prior to taking it to dealer?

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

Curious if this cures buffeting/pressure feeling. Most with buffeting experience in v4 as well as other times. Hopefully in your case it is only when in V4 mode.

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

A valve within the exhaust system?

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

when testing, put it in M5 to avoid the V4 mode and see what the results are. If there's buffeting and/or vibrations, you know it's not V4 related. I would like to think a dealer would know better, but I've learned they don't have a clue sometimes regardless of all good intentions. I'm...

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

Here is the link describing the dampers and location. sorry...it's embedded within the well known 3yr buffeting thread. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/162779-2015-yukon-noise-in-cabin/page-174 Good luck and keep us posted.

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

There is a fix for the drone/booming where they add exhaust dampers. There are many folks that had this done and posted pictures and "how to" on a different site. Most dealers don't know how to make the fix or are aware of it so you may need to take info in-hand with you and share with...

    2017 Tahoe vs Suburban

True. A very important piece to consider. Funny thing is, I could never fit tahoe or traverse in garage with skybox. I was constantly removing it.

    2017 Tahoe vs Suburban

I think it all depends on personal preference and needs. With four kids and heavy into sports, there's no way we could deal with a top carrier when travelling to games and wknd trips. A handful of family trips a year, sure, but loading a carrier all the time would get old quick. I went that...

GM is buying back my Yukon

While I agree with the idea, and outside of the 8spd and larger engine, there are a lot of convenience things that would be missing, IMO for a 2016/17. Keyless entry would be the biggest for me after having it for the past 5yrs. heated seats (I know wthis can be added as well).

    Steering wheel removal?

Has anyone removed the steering wheel on a 15+? I have a the well known steering pop, click, catch feeling going on with our 15 XL and while I was hoping to get GM to cover the "known" fix, it's not going to happen. I figured rather than spending close to $400 for the repair, I may tackle the...

I've had 3 of these new Tahoe/Yukons..no issues

I don't know how it compares, this is coming from someone I know at a VP level with Cadillac. Additionally, the regional engineer that I worked with a year ago when dealing with our issue made the statement, "I know they have been buying back a ton of these trucks." Even though we were the...

I've had 3 of these new Tahoe/Yukons..no issues

Ding ding ding...I know I've posted this before but I too have been in 15-20 (mostly 15/16s) of these trucks and experienced it in every single one of them albeit some were worse than others. Some to the point where I was sick with headache within the first 15min. My wife on the other hand has...

GM is buying back my Yukon

so true and I said the same with our previous Tahoe and other GM Suvs. The new trucks (2015+) have major unacceptable issues that are way too widespread.

Escalades having the same issues ?

I know early on there were just as many escalade complaints on a different forum. I'm sure nothing has changed.

Wow, you acted quickly. I know you mentioned being concerned about the truck and issues a few weeks ago. What did you go with...GLS?

GM is buying back my Yukon

There are multiple people on here that have had two 15/16 Yukons bought back, so not out of line, IMO. These trucks are flawed. period.

GM is buying back my Yukon

We are dealing with that as well with our 15. They are claiming the entire steering shaft needs replaced while I'm fighting with them to do the tsb that replaces sleeve and spring. I wouldn't care except it will be out of pocket as we are past 36k. It's $300 vs $1200. From what I've read...
