I've been considering trading the 15 for a while...now may be the time.
I think what's best is to go with the "Premier" version side moldings as they are color matched. it's not quite the same but it does provide a cleaner look vs. the chrome molding.
ditto...I'd go with a Denali to get the 6.2. If I purchased a sport suv I'd go with the JeepSRT.
I honestly don't get it...just offer the 6.2 in the burb and call it good. Why make it "sport" or "racer" like? I don't think it will be winning any lap times.
I am actually surprised those numbers are that close considering the avg ford dealer didn't even have the 18 model on lots 2 months ago. The 2nd half of 18 will be huge for the exped/nav.
I'm sure GM will still have the advantage overall with all models but I guarantee you the previous large...
I'm guessing it will be out for the Jan '19 autoshow as a 2020 model.... just like the '19 trucks this past Jan. I've already seen a few '19 sierras around here on the road.
It is crazy to think the next gen could be on the lots 12-18mos from now. This is assuming 2020 is the year and all...
WE currently have black with our Yukon but looking to go with the Cocoa Dune in a Premier or Cocoa Dk Atomsphere in the Denali. I don't know why they don't offer the cocoa in the SLT. It's a lighter tan throughout and tends to look rather bland. THe cocoa/Shale in the denali is too light for...
Glad to hear...I'd say that's about where we've been with our 15 XL the last 2 years. It's not perfect but it's close and that's about the best it's going to be. It's unfortunate for any vehicle but esepically one at this price point. Sometimes I look forward to driving it and other times I...
I didn't get to drive...I happen to notice in passing that my local dealer had a limited max so I stopped and did a walk around and noticed it was unlocked so I checked it out. 2min later the salesperson said it just sold and new owner was picking it up that day. It's a small dealer and so far...
you are correct...I guess I was under the impression they were oem or "OEM Like" tires. A GM Tech doc even specifies when dealers are dealing with buffeting issues to make the target number 15lbs or less when RF.
THe other thing to mention is 99% of vehicles might run smooth and fine at 16-...
One thing to note...with these trucks, they all must RF under 15lbs. My tire shop thought I was nuts but this is one of the things GM has shared with some. We had to swap one of our Michelin with a new one during initial install due to not getting it under 15lbs.
I have seen several navi's over the past few weeks and man are they nice. Too much coin but I was impressed. I looked at another expedition over the weekend but think I'm still leaning towards a new burb premier or denali XL. This is Assuming I can find one buffeting-free.
Have been down the same road...factory tires then Premier LTX which only lasted around 22k, and currently Michelin Defender LTX. Currently have around 12k miles on them and they still look brand new. IMO, definitely the tire to go with (on these trucks) especially if dealing with vibrations...
I've seen very few complaints with 17 and 18s...so you have the buffeting with your 18? I know you say it's worse than your 17 but did your 17 exhibit any at all? Do you have the same options (specifically drivetrain)..., 2wd, 4wd, tow pkg, etc?
prices seem to keep climbing since almost purchasing in December. The two 18 Yukons are now $5,500 more than what I could have purchased for in December. Had an 18 Denali ready to sign @ 16% off sticker and now best they can do is 10%. Crazy.
Road forcing our 15 XL is the only way it's remained manageable to drive for us. I've gone through multiple tire/wheel setup and ended up with michelins and 20" wheels and have them road forced about every 6mos. The buffeting and vibrations are kept at a minimum and rarely noticeable...
silverstars are halogen bulbs...you have OEM HID Lights. That would be a major downgrade in light setup. OEM run around 4300k (which is best usable light), I'm guessing You'll need to go with higher Kelvin temp to match fogs. Honestly, you'd be better off matching your fogs to your low beams.
It wasn't an option in 15 and 16 outside of the denali and LTZ (w/hud). To my knowledge the 17 SLT (lux pkg)and burb premier were the only ones with this option and when the std dash shortage occurred, many other models received the upgrade as well for a short period hence why some std 17s...
