    2017 Yukon SLT Options Question

currently requires lux pkg. I was told by a large volume dealer 6mos ago that GM had a shortage of dashes for a couple months and ended up putting the upgraded dash in many mid level basic packages.

    LEDSs headlights package

I guess it's good that they are standing behind their product, but I agree, what a PIA. IMO, Quality HID or stick with halogen. Have never been impressed with the current LED headlight bulbs currently on the market. I'm still running my rebased Philips HID 4300k...50k miles and 2.5 years.

    Any non-buffeting Tahoes out there?

Yeah, even though our 15 hasnt been great, we're still in the market for an 18 burb or denali XL...and also considering the expedition/navi. Hoping incentives my return for march. We bought ours used with 15k miles in 2015 otherwise I would have returned it and left it in the dealer's lot...

    Any non-buffeting Tahoes out there?

Yes, the true buffeting plagued trucks occur regardless of vibrations and prominent v8/v4 mode drone. However, those two items do increase the severity of the buffeting. If you'd like to drink a weeks worth of coffee, take a look at the 182 page thread on the issue dating back to 2014...

    Ball Joint replace ablity?

Our 15 had one go out and was told it's better to replace the entire assembly as mentioned.

    February Incentives?

yeah. It matches the best i've seen this month but nothing like the deals that were being offered in Dec. THanks!

    February Incentives?

The 17s are only 15% off...last month many dealers had 17s at 20% or plus off sticker. Their 18s are only 9% below sticker which is the norm right now with most dealers.

Would you buy a new old stock 2016 Denali XL?

Congrats Yeah, 17 model run started in July, I believe

    Any non-buffeting Tahoes out there?

How ironic...our 15 XL booms and buffets while my 11 Overland has been perfect for 6yrs. lol curious...why are you considering an 18 denali...not happy with burb?

    February Incentives?

yep. A local dealer has a 2017 burb Premier leftover and their best price (so they claim) is $2k higher than Laura's price for a 2018 Denali XL. It's laughable but I'm sure someone will fall for the 12% off sticker for a 2017
  12. A

    February Incentives?

yes. I'm looking at both Sub Premier and Denali. Laura is where I had a 18 Denali XL almost purchased back in Dec. That same truck (as of today) is now $3k more.
  13. A

    February Incentives?

it's crazy...I was on the fence between a 17 and 18 back in Dec and figured pricing would stay the same or get better and almost 2mos later they are $3-5K more than what they were in Dec.

What Should I call my Upgraded 2015 Yukon SLT now?

...looks like a Yukon SLT to me... it looks good but it does seem to date it, IMO. Reminds me of the previous two versions.

Would you buy a new old stock 2016 Denali XL?

... that's basically it. Other than the 10spd tranny, I know some of the tech changed relating to the info screen and entertainment system, interior lighting changed to blue, and I've heard the seat cushions are softer for 17+. There's different things mentioned by some like motor mounts...

Would you buy a new old stock 2016 Denali XL?

I'm with you...laura had a few 18 SLT XL for $57k last month. 2018 Denali XL for $62,900 (MSRP 76,500), which I missed out on. For me it would have to be around $50k or less, otherwise, I'd rather spend a little more and have 2yr newer model especially given the issues these trucks tend to...

    Harsh ride

Well, our 2007 Tahoe and 2010 Burb didn't ride as harsh as our 15 Yukon XL. Honestly there's no comparison...our 15 rides like a brick in comparison. All with 20" wheels. And regarding the MRC, there are many complaints here and on the caddy site re a rough ride. GM has admitted that with...

'18 Expedition Platinum vs '18 Yukon Denali

Mbrace, which is a glorified version of onstar with benz is hard to beat.

    Any non-buffeting Tahoes out there?

Was in a 2016 escalade today with 16k miles and it had the buffeting much worse than our yukon. Was horrible between mid 50s to 65mph.

Where did all the incentives go???

yep, I noticed the same... the 18 denali XL I was very close to purchasing 2wks ago is now $3k higher. Dealer is unable to include additional incentives that were offered 2wks ago.

'18 Expedition Platinum vs '18 Yukon Denali

Are we talking the new expedition or pre 2018?
  22. A

    Any non-buffeting Tahoes out there?

the buffeting is an issue with 15+ trucks and occurs during higher speeds 45mph+... it is different from vibration issues, low speed booming, and buffeting with windows down (which is very normal with many vehicles). Many lump these all together as a single issue.

'18 Expedition Platinum vs '18 Yukon Denali

I agree...I've seen many on the road and they do tend to have more of an edgy/classy look than what pictures show.

'18 Expedition Platinum vs '18 Yukon Denali

I agree but the navi looks much better with the other wheel options.

    Any non-buffeting Tahoes out there?

yes, but we've been able to mask it for the most part. However, we've had a lot of other issues and being out of warranty, would rather jump into something new. I'm going to drive an 18 denali and 18 suburban premier this week. If both are not acceptable, I'm going to seriously consider the...
