true but sometimes, peoples idea of "buffeting" vary. Maybe it is the exhaust given his wife had issues the first minute of riding in the truck. I'm hoping the 18s aren't plagued with the same issue. I may just be taking a chance on a new model 18 expedition.
FYI - according to a dealer, there was a shortage of standard guages for 17 models so a number of batches of standard SLTs received the uplevel displays in 17. This explains why I saw a handful of standards SLTs with the upgraded gauges. All 18 SLTs have the standard with the exception being...
Is the buffeting still present? The TSB may work but you'll see over the last 2-3yrs that in most cases it did not fix the issue. Will be curious to hear if the exhaust was the main issue or not.
^yes, this how my overland is,however, you have to push button to lock. I'm not sure why it isn't standard for gm trucks to unlock without pushing button. Seems like industry std at this point.
many on here have had the same issue and one of two things typically happen...it doesn't develop or become noticeable until miles are logged, or secondly, it's not something you really think of while test driving so it's easily overlooked. Who would ever think a vehicle will make you feel sick...
I've been looking at 17 and 18SLTs and I'm a little confused regarding the dash options. I see a lot of the late builld 17s having the elec info dash (like the denali) screen but I'm also seeing 18 SLTs with the previous style. There doesn't seem to be any clear reason why some have it and...
got it...i thought they still had a button type only that it's more flush rather than slightly raised. I know my jeep and a few MB i've been in still have a separate section designated for locking while the unlocking is truly passive and just needs hand to touch back area of handle.
Did you have the buffeting issue as well? I thought I recall you finally finding one that was booming and buffeting free, no? If so, how many miles until it showed up?
yeah, I seem to be finding 12-13% off between SLT XL and suburban Premier. I'm guessing once the Expedition/Navigator hits the lots (within next few weeks) they'll be rolling out better incentives.
This has been my experience exactly. Been on many where owner says it's great and then after 15min I notice booming, buffeting, vibrations that wouldn't last one day with me.
Have you had any issues with the 17? vibration, buffeting, etc?
not sure on the leather quality. I've heard both regarding it...quality is same but with different stitching but also heard that the actual leather quality is different. The 17 slt and premier I sat in seemed the same. I have...
sorry, i meant "denali" not the XL part.
yes you are correct, I believe the Premier has ANC as I believe the "LTZ" had it. And the cupholders are Premier and Denali only. However, The 17 and 18 SLT have the exterior trim pkg as well...chrome trim door panels, chrome exhaust as well as a...
I didn't realize HUD wasn't available with SLT. Seats are identical between Chevy Premier and GMC SLT. Yes, the HID and MRC are only in Premier and Denali. Denali XL is a step up from both and of course the denali has the standard 6.2 8spd/10spd.
So really you get the following with the...
I would say the Chevy Premier is closer to the GMC SLT than it is the denali. I prefer the cocoa/drk atmosphere of the denali over the basic tan of the SLT. I wish the GMC SLT offered the same tan with cocoa like the chevy line.
Agree. Although i dont think it seemed as bad in person and Outside of the rear it did have a nice classy look. However, I believe the expedition rear will be worse. This is why I'm considering giving gm another shot and trading in our 15 for a 17. Plan to test a couple within the week and...
Haha...
We had a 1st year Infiniti model and had 70k of zero issues.
My current 1st yr run 2011 grand cherokee overland is at 97k and has been to dealer one time.
2015 yukon...endless dealer trips and still has issues.
