    Haven't looked into flywheel. It's an auto. Maybe the flex plate though? As far as a bearing problem, i m not sure what it could be?     Yes they are short skirted. I'm thinking that the stocker that's still in the truck and broken may become a 383. Picked up some SP hypers for $50 bucks on CL. Just need a good set of Vortec heads and might do an E85 beast.

    Where to use RTV in engine build

    Hey guys just wondering where all I use RTV in the longblock. About the only place I know for sure is at the top of the bulkhead where the intake sits on the block and around the front part of the oil pan. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Awesome. What about the other components like rockers/lifters/pushrods? I think I'm going to go with a cast/roller tip rocker but all my lifters looked good so I might re-use those. Thoughts? Also when getting pushrods, is there any standard length or do you have to measure length, then buy?
