Sounds like a sump pump
Newbie on the site - sorry if this is posted twice. I have a 2006 Z71 Tahoe that recently started making a weird noise. Pulling away from a stop there is a grinding/pumping sound, and slight vibration, coming from somewhere on the left-front of the truck. It sounds like a lot like a sump pump...- GooseHunter

Sounds like a sump pump
I have a 2006 Z71 Tahoe with 150K miles. Recently I noticed an odd sound coming from somewhere in the front of the vehicle when I pull away from a stop. With very little throttle input, the noise sounds like an electric sump pump trying to pump fluids. I can hear it and feel it slightly...- GooseHunter
