    Towing with a Tahoe PPV?

Likely for police bicycles or a S&R boat. Our Department Tahoes have the built in hitches, but they're typically only used to tow our light duty search and rescue boat. We use Booster trucks (F250 Diesel) to haul bigger trailers like our trench rescue trailer or Dozer. Sent from my iPhone...

    Towing with a Tahoe PPV?

UPDATE: PPV hauls stuff just fine. I towed our 2 ton antique Chief's car on a heavy dual axle 18 foot trailer without an issue. Transmission temp never exceeded 190 degrees, even on a 95 degree day. Rear end sagged a bit, helper bags would have been nice, but not necessary. As with anything...

How To: Trailer Hitch on Tahoe PPV

I STRONGLY recommend PlastixPlus in Houston, TX. They build the consoles for all of our Tahoes, as well as our fire apparatus, ambulances, and rescue trucks. Their stuff rocks, and is very solid. They also build cargo storage...anything from thin drawers to command centers. Here's what...

    Towing with a Tahoe PPV?

I found a factory "impact bar" at a local dealer for $300. Not too bad. That should be able to handle pulling a car, as long as the gearing supports it! GM part number for anyone interested - 25938524 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Towing with a Tahoe PPV?

Mine is a 2013 with the 6 speed. No towing package, of course, but the trailer light hookup is pinned under the bumper. I'll keep an eye peeled for the hitch you mentioned. If I can find one, I'll consider using my Tahoe - if not, I'll head over to Home Depot for one of their trucks! Sent...

    Towing with a Tahoe PPV?

I wanted to re-open this thread, as I'm looking to tow with my PPV as well. The difference is, I'll be towing our department's antique Chief's vehicle to events, which weighs 3500 lbs + 18ft trailer. First off, the hitch below is built SPECIFICALLY for the GMT900 PPV. It's $130, so there you...

    Tahoe PPV (police package)

I have dual batteries in my PPV. If there's something specific you're looking fore I can get a picture for you tomorrow.

    Leveling a 2014 PPV

Hey Hiram, That's a great thing to think about - however no one in our department ever goes that fast. We rarely go more than 25% over the limit on the freeway, and I don't participate in anything that would involve speeds that high with my POV.

    Just purchased 2013 Tahoe

There's lots of space under the hood, and you could basically rebuild the car at AutoZone...it'll be refreshing to order parts for $25 rather than $125!

Reduced engine power, service stabilitrak, service traction control.

I had a similar problem in a fleet vehicle and it turned out to be a failed port on the computer...just goes to show, you can't always just generalize and start throwing parts at it or you'll empty your wallet and have issues!

    Drifting or just me?

Jeeze, sounds like the first shop was just trying to get you in and out as fast as possible. did they do anything at all?

    Tahoe PPV (police package)

At that point, you should probably just get a SSV rather than a PPV

    Tahoe PPV Tires

I use Continental Crosstrack LX20 in 275/60/17 on my PPV and I love them. They're maybe 0.5" taller, 0.5" wider, but you can't tell a difference...however the ride and noise are dramatically improved over the Goodyears. I was only able to get 30k miles out of the factory Goodyear tires.

    Leveling a 2014 PPV

I'm reaching out to Tony about the Bell Tech stuff - apparently that's the "new" Pedders since they've moved out of the US. My truck is still pretty new, so I'd probably only need this kit: http://www.tbssowners.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=87 Perhaps the end links as...

PPV Stock Suspension - Higher to Lower

I'll reach out to tony. Does a 3 inch drop in the back match the factory ppv drop? As long as it's not any lower than the factory setup and still pretty stiff, that should work fine. Would I need the end link kit as well? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Leveling a 2014 PPV

Do you have any pictures of your setup? That may work... Ideally, I wish I could just fine the part number for factory PPV leveled springs...but I'll be damned if I can find it on the internet, or even a dealer that can identify it.

    Leveling a 2014 PPV

Hello everyone. I posted this in the General forum without much success, maybe yall will have better insight.... I have a 2014 Tahoe PPV that is my Department POV. Basically, I own the truck personally, but I can use it for responding to scenes when I'm not in one of our marked trucks...

PPV Stock Suspension - Higher to Lower

Hello everyone. I have a 2014 Tahoe PPV that is my Department POV. Basically, I own the truck personally, but I can use it for responding to scenes when I'm not in one of our marked trucks. Here's the thing. The PPV has beefed up suspension no matter how it comes...but it can be ordered...
