Gotcha. I'm not near a state that does not allow them but I see your point. There have been times when I'm waiting somewhere (for one reason or another) and mine just keeps going off. Mute it, it stops alarming then starts up again, then I unplug it, until I move. Grocery stores are bad for that.
^ Right.
There is a lot of info about this and the pros vs cons.
The main thing seems to be, for me, is that you can reset it to stock BUT there is a "flash" counter in vehicle. The dealer can see this counter. They may question why it had 1352 flashes instead of a more normal 10 but they...
The batteries that power most DMM's are 9 volt, some are less, more like 3. And I have seen people blow their speakers as a result.
I guess I call this one a draw. Check the impedance (not ohms, to be precise) at your own risk.
Not familiar with the 'Hoe, as I have a Yukon. My Yukon does not have a USB port there but it does have a power port there that is always on. I assume that yours is fine.
I was wondering about the impedance values also, stock vs. aftermarket ones installed. But, throwing a multimeter on your speakers is an easy way to pop them. (Depending upon your multimeter)
Okay, pardon my ignorance but,
Why does everyone use plastidip? Or is it just a euphemism for any kind of painting of said parts?
Is plastidip better for some reason than a high quality paint designed for the surface that you are painting?
Im just curious...
Lame but, yeah, I use the ball thing. Since I always back my vehicles in, I always mount the ball to the garage door. Door up- ball is in place, door down- ball is flat against the closed door (and not hitting me in the face if no vehicle in the garage but I'm working in there)
Okay, I'm not familiar with that particular retainer but, could you just use a small zip tie to run through where the retainer would normally? Fashion a small piece of plastic? I'm a bit OCD so I get it if you want it to be back to "factory."
