Are you getting error messages or just the compressor kicking on all the time? The best thing as mentioned would be to pull the fuse and I would just take off the compressor and put some heat shrink over the connector to protect it. They should have added resistors to the electronic shock...
when you start up the truck you should hear the compressor do a self-check. If this is not occurring then you probably have a bad compressor. When you were putting your trailer on the truck as the back end went down do you hear the compressor kick on? What happens is the rear gets weight and...
2012 Yukon Denali XL
I have replaced the rear suspension with a Dorman Compressor and Arnott rear shocks with the bypass sensor. These have been great with no issues
I can tell the front struts are reaching their end of life so I want to replace them as well. I was about to do an order from...
Yeah, perfect that is exactly what I was thinking. Go with US-based company in case of issues. A little more but the shipping is free.. I'm doing an order now.
Thanks
Yeah, I wasn't sure what is best. It looks like you can do a this with a windows laptop but not sure.
I found this base on the link you sent above

Looks pretty complete...
Time to buy a Tech 2 ..I see a ton of threads when I do a search
units clones vs. originals ETC...
Where is the best place to purchase? Are there accessories I should be looking at in addition to the unit? Is it even possible to buy a non-clone unit?
TIA
I have a similar set up on my XL here is what I do and I have no problems
The only difference being that I dropped the chain type set up years ago for the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Hitch EQ37121ET. For me, this has proven to be a better set up and better sway control. I only mention it...
Ok, this might be exactly what I need. mine is a 2012 Denali XL as well. I had a huge leak with all the same characteristics. No stain coming down the A pillar dripping down the side where the fuse panel is and then coming out around the hood release and behind the kick panel. I pulled the...
Just reading through this thread and seeing the picture of it pre-purchase I can almost guarantee it was waxed with colored wax. Too many swirls for this ALL to be recent. I'm not saying that there might not be some new one but this is typical of a black car not being taken care of well. One...
Hi all
I am looking for some advice/suggestions. 2012 Denali XL
I'm putting new rubber on the Denali today and once again I'm just thinking how much I hate these stock chrome wheels. I don't mind the rim as much as the chrome. Take forever to clean and just this last time I am seeing some...
@Bucky1 the air compressor is only utilized by the Rear Shocks. So if the sound is truly in the front it is not related to the compressor. Doesn't mean there is not a compressor issue and it just sounds that way. To the other replies, you need to check it out from the rear.
Good test sequence...
Thanks @Chrismnj
I'm pulling the trailer down to FL at the end of the month when I'm back from my work trip so that will give me a good read on how's it is going....
I will say that was some nasty look fluid and looks way better now at the dip-stick, that alone has gotta help at this point....
Yep, 1500 Denali XL I have the stock cooler but may change that out for a bigger one... But with that said it is good to know some of the temps' people hit and are fine... My local shop said he doesn't worry about his tran temp until it is running at 240... I really love this truck so I'm just...
Well damn, that was easy! Looks good was quick to do... @Galante I just ordered a filter an gasket. Given that was that quick I'll do that here once it comes in... Thanks everyone
Thanks, guys this is my mindset as well.
Any suggestion on the new transmission a quick google shows a ton of places but anyone have a vendor recommendation? What should I look at with regards to upgrades for better towing?
Hi all,
A little background
2012 Yukon Denali XL about 130 k and some change.
Lots of highway driving and towing of my travel trailer and boat
When I got the Truck with around 80,000-mile Transmission Fluid looked pretty good, which I was ok with as I would rather it look decent than...
Yes, your understanding is correct in regards to passive shocks. I will say that I feel passive with the airbags is the most reliable and useful vs the electric damping. If you remove the airbag feature you may want to look at stiffer springs.
I think the best option is Arnott Passive shocks...
Hi, I will try to answer some of this based on experience. You might get more responses in the street suspension subforum but since it is here I will throw my thoughts in.
There was a recent thread in that subforum that I responded to earlier in the week and you can find some thoughts and...
Depends, if this is a costing exercise then Bilstein and some resistors to eliminate the dash warning are a great option. I will note that you stated the ride is not harsh but you have no airbags so the electronic shocks seem to be working for dampening right now. The Bilstein might prove to be...
