There is a way to get to the disk menu. It gives you a keypad, and you select the chapter I think. Thats all I have found so far.
Not sure if this wil work, but I made a quick video of me navigating through the menus on a dvd...
I ended up buying one for my wifes peace of mind. She has this strange misconception that I am going to keep a vehicle for longer than the standard warranty runs. In the last ten years I haven't kept a vehicle more than 3 years, so I don't know why she would think I would start now. Maybe its...
In theory, yes. Cutting the black wire and running it to a chassis ground should work fine. I would like to say though that I am guessing here. I don't have the wiring schematics for your vehicle and I don't know how it is wired. I did similar work on my former truck, which was a 97 Sierra. I...
ok, to clarify, the ground line from the harness, to the chassis ground, and you are getting voltage? Can you put the multimeter in that line and see for sure? The ground line in the harness on one probe and the other probe on the chassis shoudn't give you any voltage. Can you do a continuity...
I thought about fading. Once the paint has a few more days to cure, I will apply a heavy coat of wax to both the front and back of it. I think some waxes actually have uv protection. I probably need to see if I can find one. Either way, I can always replace it after a few years if it fades on me.
It was a clear one I got from AVS. My local paint guy painted it from the inside, so paint chipping shouldn't be a problem. Its rainy and overcast today so I don't know how well it matches in sunlight, but so far it look almost dead on. The paint guy explained that technically we are looking at...
The dealer called me today and asked me to stop by. They needed to get all the numbers off of my nav unit. They said that the GM techs are recommending replacing the unit. The service writer said he would call me when the new unit arrives. My service department seems to be doing a pretty good...
As suspected, the dealership has no clue what to do to it either. They have done what they have to do to send it up the line. The service writer suspects they will be told to swap in a new nav unit. woohoo

Looks like the handle is $25. If you are wanting the lock cylinder its $70. This is assuming I have the right year and model entered.
Got the front windows tinted to match the factory stuff on the rear. Got the new plates from the dealer today and installed those with some chrome frames. Discovered that my truck refuses to "spring forward".
Ok.... I searched for an answer everywhere I can think of, even called a few people. I have a 2011 Tahoe LTZ, heres the problem.
I jumped in to my truck this morning and adjusted my clock for daylight savings time. I stopped at a store. When I came back, the clock once again read the wrong...
I just bought my 2011 Tahoe LTZ. I shopped both the Denali and the Tahoe LTZ. The Denali was going to run me a few grand more, but I did have a great deal worked out no matter which way I went. What it came down to for me was the 4wd system. I like the Tahoe set up better than the Denali AWD...
