    Why don’t my batteries last !!!!

    Last 2 Walmart batteries died while still in full replacement time frame. Interstate in my 1988 BMW is over 20 years old. Sat for 5 plus years , charged it up and works fine ( so far )

    5.3 Guys, opinion on oil change intervals

    269k on my 2015 5.3. Quality oil and filter every 6-8000 miles. No issues , ( saying a prayer to get to 300+.

    Most miles with stock AFM system?

    2015. 267,464 miles. Nothing altered. First 220k were gentle miles , always warmed up and driven steady state at 55 mph ish. Moved to Florida and regularly see 80 plus on I 75. Oil changes about every 7k with quality oil. Pulled the valve cover earlier this year, was spotless

    100k front pads

    When my battery went at about the 3 year mark, the audio would not work. I understand that is the built in warning.

    update as an earlier poster said, Install the later front rotors, calipers and pads. Best upgrade I ever did to our 03 Tahoe, better than the Black Bear tune

    Heck our 03 2wd Tahoe with a 5.3 gets 20 all day long on the highway and if careful, about 22. Running a tune. The 15 Silvy 2wd CC gets 22 average with mixed driving easily.
