Parking brake issues with 2010 Yukon XL 2500 - are there different parking brake systems?

I discovered my new-to-me 2500 Suburban has what appears to be a stretched out parking cable. The "intermediate" (i guess?) that runs down the outside of the frame on the drivers side sags when it's not engaged, and when the pedal is pressed down it just takes the slack out without ever engaging...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

New 'seat shop' drivers cushion installed yesterday. Reused the existing leather even if it's a bit worn.

    2500 series front end clunk

Maybe they're different for a 2500 series, but the GM mounts are under $45 on rockauto, I guess that's why I was confused. Jounce bumpers? Not familiar with that term. Bumpstops? They're all there but a bit cracked. Look original.

    2500 series front end clunk

It was a very light amount of grease as a test, I'm not too concerned about it. Also, that price was for a trans mount, not a motor mount. And yes, it was aftermarket. When I went under the hood and tried to give it a shake, it had very little movement. At least compared to what I've seen on...

    2500 series front end clunk

Well, yesterday I didn't find anything that stood out to me as being loose or off. But while I had it in the air, I went through and greased all the front end parts (why not) and put a very light coat of grease on the driveshaft spline (costs nothing to try) and while I was in the vicinity...

    2500 series front end clunk

OK, so a little diagnostic update. Got the front end up and looked around with a flashlight, sway bar end links seem good, used a pry bar under the drivers tire to test the ball joints - no wiggle no noise. Steering components seem ok (I didn't realize these trucks don't have a locking steering...

Thanks. 4WD, no Air ride. Just put new Bilsteins on last night.

    2500 series front end clunk

Hey everyone. I also posted this on the 2500 series facebook group, trying to find a solution or ideas. My new-to-me 2010 Suburban has a front end clunk. Weirdly enough, it doesn't seem to happen at all when the vehicle is cold, but only after driving for a little while when things get...

Seat comfort difference - Yukon Denali vs Escalade

The new rig. I don't recognize that brand of wheel, maybe someone else does? For a PA vehicle wth 136k there's very minimal rust underneath. There's a little tiny bit of bubbling on the leading edge of the hood in one spot, and there's one bit on the passenger side rear wheelwell that...

Seat comfort difference - Yukon Denali vs Escalade

Thanks everyone. We ended up finding a very clean 2010 Suburban 2500 with a 'luxury package' - interior reminds me very much of the Yukon we drove. Soft, comfy seats, nav, and a tow rating of nearly 10k. Picking it up tomorrow. The 6.0 doesn't have as much HP/torque as the 6.2 from the Denali...

Seat comfort difference - Yukon Denali vs Escalade

Both were '08s, so they should have felt the same then. Weird. Also I notice that my original post was edited for some reason... I didn't swear? Firm? Stiff? Hard? Can't recall what word I used exactly. Anyway. Like I said I'm looking at both, and really despise hard seats. If I knew that all...

Seat comfort difference - Yukon Denali vs Escalade

Hey everyone. I'm in the market for an occasional use tow rig/road trip type vehicle and have been taking a look at the 07-11 or so Yukon XL Denalis and Escalade ESVs. Why not tow in style, right? Anyway this weekend we test drove an '08 Yukon, was a nice, comfortable, cushy ride. Unfortunately...

    New Tahoe owner

Hi all, new to the forum and to the Tahoe. I'm a chevy guy at heart - currently have a 1997 Camaro SS, but I've had a '94 Caprice 9C1, a '96 Z28, an S10 Xtreme, '83 Camaro and an '82 Monte Carlo that never left the driveway :) Just picked the Tahoe up yesterday, my wife and I traded her 2001...
