    I expected it to slip right through. While the hub opening diameter is the same, the aluminum wheel at the hub hole was considerably thicker than the steel wheel. The shorter 'ears' and deep bell shape of the original carrier prevented it from passing through completely and seating properly.

    I removed my sunshade to replace the original material and recommend you remove the sunroof glass then install the sunshade from the top. Only four torx head bolts hold the sunroof in place. They are all easily accessed from the driver's seat. Your sunshade has the same spring clips as mine...
