Hit 50k miles. Any rec. services?
The tahoe hit 50k miles this past week and I am thinking it would be a good time to do some fluid exchanges and belts along with hoses. I was thinking about doing a coolant drain and fill. And maybe the front and rear diff's. not sure about the transfer case though. Its an all wheel drive model...- ScrewbenSS

Thanks! I also had a little bit of rubbing on the rear of the fender. I didnt get any pics but I just removed the liner and used the old BFH method to massage it back a little and now everything clears.- ScrewbenSS

And finally I mounted them up. Used a pick tool to scratch the fender liner through the bracket hole and drilled. Ran a bolt through with a decent size washer and used a heat gun to soften up the liner to take the new shape. Very easy to do.- ScrewbenSS

Ok so back to plan A that 01Konvict told me to do in the first place. Make some 2" brackets and mount them. This is not my best work as I was kind of running out of time so I was more or less eyeballing things from here but it honestly doesn't matter as long as it works. Next is the bad idea! Had a thought that I could cut a slot out of the brackets and heat the remaining plastic and reshape it to retain the original mounting holes. This did not work. Dont do this. Well finally got around to finishing the truck up. Cut the lower valence, painted it(it looked horrible), and did some fender liner trimming. Having a fab shop at my disposal made all of this very easy and an afternoons work. Even with my bad ideas taking up time. I'll get into that later...- ScrewbenSS

07-14 Fender height measurements
Upgraded wheels and tires. This is now where it sits with a 305/65R17 BFG all terrain K02. Wheel is 17x9 +10 offset. Brought it up a little but not much. Still only a 2" rc front level.- ScrewbenSS

Still fits in the garage so thats good. Hardly gained half an inch in overall height. I can still go up a little more with the lift. Eventually. But yes 01Konvict I am going to be doing exactly that. Finally did my first mods...
I was happy with black until I saw this. I dont believe I have ever seen this color before. And I live in texas! You cant throw a rock without hitting 2 tahoes, a suburban, and 5 trucks lol.- ScrewbenSS

07-14 Fender height measurements
At the moment im on factory 20's with factory size tires 275/55R20. I have the Rough Country 2" level on the front of the truck. 17" wheels and 33" bfg all terrains "should" be in tomorrow. Bought a used tire to get the truck home from discount tire. And decided to start on the valence. I marked it with a sharpie and took it off. Gonna head over to my dads fab shop and cut it up on the band saw.- ScrewbenSS

01 Konvict you have one of the best looking set ups I've ever seen. I wish I had room for a 7" lift. But I like our cars in the garage and mine has a really short door opening. As the truck sits now with a measly 2" rc level i only have like 3 inches of clearence. I think the ccm is the best I'm...- ScrewbenSS

Well the truck blew a tire lastnight. The rest are all worn out so I'm just buying a set at discount. The truck is sitting at Discount now as its not drivable. Dual Rear Exit Exhaust Picks?
Going to be changing the muffler to something louder soon(have the magnaflow 12589 and its just to quiet)and am considering going with a dual exit setup. Currently its dumped behind rear axle for a "no exhaust clean look" wich I like. But some nice tips may be even better. Anyway I need some...- ScrewbenSS

Fill me in on some Muffler information
Its just cut and weld up. Real easy. Just make sure to get a 3" inlet muffler to weld up to factory pipe. Outlet can be whatever size you want. Cost me $70 at the local Midas to have a Magnaflow 12589 welded up in place.- ScrewbenSS
