they fit lifted trucks much better than the stockers, blackcoffee's 2 door with them looked awesome. i have a seller saved on ebay with them and hopefully some day i'll have the extra money to buy a set.
taking donations for towing mirrors for the Tahoe though :D haha
grills are plastic. you can put a black sport grill on a non sport. its just a non chromed grill. you could even have the factory ones painted black. my grill and previous bumper were color matched.
have gibsons on mine and they installed great and i have not had any problems with them. got a good deal on mine back in the day, no clue what they go for now.
found the side panel that goes behind the passenger seat at pic-a-part finally. have to color match it from tan to grey but it will be nice to have one without the bottom broken off of it.
Nice! i need to finish up the dual line one in mine, mirrors in just need to repin and run the temp probe wiring (96's didn't have it :( ) i'll have to keep an eye out for one without all the on-star stuff on the bottom of it, looks out of place on my windshield.
the Hoe got bumped back up to...
finally had the chance to give the trucks a very long overdue wash. hoping to know when i can expect the tahoe to fit in the garage by the end of the week (and the ridiculous amount im spending to make it fit in the garage... :)) 'Hoe needs detailed BAD.
first time you catch grip front and rear with different ratios you will be dead in the water. blown t-case , front or rear diff, or any and all of the above if not more.
if you haven't done one before and don't have someone with experience with it to help, let a shop do it.
watch the hail bounce off of it during the last storm this evening. disn't seem to hurt it any (thank god!). this garage remodel can't come soon enough.
thats nuts. i rememeber reading a big article about a couple that went across a country in a land rover, mostly stock in the same kind or terrain. just think if they had some wider mud tires and lockers in them :)
drove it to work. :) have really missed driving it. if the weather ever stays nice for a couple days its getting cleaned back up to where it needs to be.
hopefully the garage remodel will be set in stone soon so it can sleep inside out of the weather. been almost 3.5 years in the making to...
not a fan of the combo. but to each their own :)
and for the record i have no problems with my 35's on 16's. truck is still perfectly streetable. just have to buy good tires.
