    Hi Tech Auto Theft?

A screwdriver will by-pass a starter kill under the truck. Takes 10 secs to run the starter. Common thief's know this. This is why the original pass-lock system was changed and good alarms don't even bother with starter kills.

    Hi Tech Auto Theft?

I took the main power going to the Ignition relay in the fuse box. Its a bit of searching the wiring schematic to figure it out but you cant bypass it from the source if your trying to steal the truck. It would take hours for somebody to figure out. Don't use the starter its to easy to by-pass...

    4WD mode

Never use 4WD on the street unless it is slippery conditions. On a 4WD it will lock the front axle, make it hard to steer, wear out suspension parts and put a big strain on the 4WD assembly. Always use 2wd unless you need 4WD in auto or not. The AWD trucks are different than the 4WD

    Hi Tech Auto Theft?

Seriously there are easier and faster ways to get into these trucks. Screw driver is all you need. Screw driver in the bottom of the door handle, push lock down or up I am not sure, alarm goes off (deactivates). Screw driver in ignition, since our trucks don't have chips in the key it starts...

2002 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 Gas Guage

You would have to find the PID for it on Torque. Rev only works for 03-up on the gas gauge. 00-02 will not display the Trans temp, not sure if there is a sensor for the trans temp, if there is you would have to find the right PID, it is not in the pre-programmed list for Torque. The GM...

    Info on these buttons??

Pretty sure you have a AWD truck. So Traction, normal AWD and 4WD Lo.

Cheap OBDII reader with your Andriod Phone

To get the GM PID's, open Torque, get into the menu, scroll down to Manage extra PIDs/Sensors, hit the menu button again and press Add predefined set then press Pontiac/GM/Opel/Vauxhall. This should give you more options to add. :drunk: BTW: additional PID's only work on 2003+ GM vehicles I...

Cheap OBDII reader with your Andriod Phone

Ok So I have been debating on writing this but I have not really found much other than the expensive scan tools. For about $25 you can have a very detailed scanner using your Android phone. Here is what you will need: Android phone or tablet with Bluetooth, able to down load from Google...

Would be cool if you had a spiderman themed truck. Never seen those before but don't seem to be worth $250.

    2002 Tahoe major electrical issues

Sounds like the starter switch assembly. Something is shorted inside causing it to stay in the start position.

    Knock Sensor (Code: P0327)

Take lots of pictures during disassembly worked for me not an extra anything. Just a bit of time a wire brush, can of carb cleaner and shop air. It makes it look pretty again.

    Knock Sensor (Code: P0327)

I agree those where not necessary but while you are pulling everything apart its a good preventative measure and it takes 5 mins when out if you have to replace them after it could take over an hour.

    Knock Sensor (Code: P0327)

Expect 5 hours of shop labor for this. Also I would recommend Intake Manifold gasket, Valve cover gaskets with o-rings, TB gasket, injector o-rings at least the bottom ones. These are all things that are easy to get done while its apart. Some can leak after re-installing. Do it now and you wont...

    Knock Sensor (Code: P0327)

From what I was told on my 02 they are under the intake manifold not on the side if the engine. The mechanic that came by to check my manifold for cracks said that's where they are and pointed these two rubber disks at the top with the wire coming out.

    Hi new device opinions

On another car I cause a ground loop with a similar kit. I will never do that again screws up sensors. There is ground and another called computer ground that goes directly back to the computer. Get these screwed up and nothing will work right.

2002 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 Gas Guage

Not sure if you have access to a diagnostic computer. If you do it should tell you what the computer sees as far as how much gas you have. This would tell you if its the sending unit or the stepper motor in the cluster. On my truck with a blue tooth dongle/android phone I can see how much fuel...
