Straight piping is legal in 50/50 states you aren’t touching the emissions system. Just removing a muffler and raising the decibel levels exiting the exhaust even better, it cannot affect your warranty- Tylus

if you want some noise that isn't horrible, I really recommend cutting the muffler off and just putting a 24" piece of pipe in there. Personally I don't do intakes anymore. They're pretty much good for nothing without tuning. And all they cause is extra noise. That $350 (or more) can be...- Tylus

Buying 2016 vs 2015 Suburban
Get the Edge tuner instead of the Range. I've read too many issues about the Range to ever consider using it. The Edge is about $300 all in. Completely different vehicle on level 3 (87 octane still) and you can turn that idiotic AFM off as well.- Tylus

I personally would not use the Range device. For $190 you are getting only 1 function I bought an Edge Evolution off the Facebook marketplace for $200. Paid $40 for Edge to unlock the PCM for my 2017 'Burb. Been driving almost 10,000 miles now on Level 3 tuning. So much better. Like whole...- Tylus

LED Daytime running lights?
Did you bake them to loosen the glue for separation? I've done this before on Fords. But the complex curves had me worried about breakage. I want to separate my current heads to matte black the interiors pieces. And probably install a brighter LED strip like you have -

I owned my 2015 Tahoe for 4yrs without noticing it. The day I traded it in for my 2017 Suburban I noticed the noises I too had lived in Hawaii for years though. And I didn’t notice the noise until I removed the roof racks and swapped rims/tires with the ‘Burb- Tylus

Leveling Kit and pulling a trailer
I installed 1000# airbags in the rear of my 'Burb. With a 6k trailer behind me, I only dropped 0.5" with 30 psi in the airbags. They are rated for 50 psi @ 1000# very good investment to prevent squat- Tylus

Leave AFM Off or On? Really any difference in MPG?
I’m seeing the best MPG I’ve ever seen since 2014 when I bought my 2015 Tahoe. 55 mph is netting me 24+ mpg. And my mixed driving is at 18.3 mpg right now. I’ll get the true hand calc numbers when I fill up soon. the digital meter is spot on usually. Unless I idle a ton with AC on Before...- Tylus

I like that solution. I was going to try Por-15 and then rustoleum. But POR-15 can be runny. Your method seems cleaner It took a week of effort to get them to respond initially. -

Yes. Corrected in the PCM for larger tires. Was 2 mph slow before tuning And keep in mind Inhave a 2017 Direct injection motor. Slightly different from prior gen LS engines- Tylus

Suburban 2.5” leveling kit 33” tires (e-rated) Level 3 programming (street tune) with AFM on CRUISE CONTROL!!!! Lol. Drove 524 miles at 71 mph. Got 20.3 MPG hand calculated. Lie-o-meter said 20.9 mpg. That was 1 tank of gas for 524 miles Drove another 180 miles at 62 mph and got 23.9 mpg...- Tylus

Previous Gen Z71 Roof Rack on 2015+ ???
Anybody try this out yet? I like the look of 03-06 Z71 racks over the one on my 2017 Suburban. Just wondering if dimension-wise this will work? Just looking to avoid dropping $100 for a used set and it not working. -

Edge Evolution CS2 on Level 3 AFM turned off Tire correction factor for my larger than factory tires My around town MPG appears better and highway a tad worse.
