It wasn't a major issue, but it was a bit costly. One of the plastic hose connectors to the radiator broke, which he said was pretty common. He replaced them all and put in new coolant for 175. Sounds like a lot, but I guess it could've been worse.
Dropped it off at the repair shop. :( Punched it pulling out in traffic in town and I see steam/smoke coming from the hood. After idling at the stop light without any lingering effects, I headed home. I kept an eye on the temp gauge and it started creeping up over 210 so I pulled into my local...
Just curious what you readings you guys were getting from the app.
Peak HP: 154
0-60: 11 secs (no brake stall before launch, just stepped on it with shifter in 2nd from stop)
Projected 1/4 mil: 30 secs
pretty pathetic, yet still amusing.
Logic will tell you that the 1/4 mile time isn't...
I think most people here come to the Air Raid Jr MIT conclusion after enough research. It's what I went with an am pleased with it. Can't speak much for performance since I have yet to get the Black Bear tune, but that'll happen in the next month or so. Sound difference alone is worth it to me.
Tough luck on the truck @ScottyBoy The fuel pump was replaced on my Yukon around 203k...I think towing an enclosed trailer on a 2 hour trip was the final straw. No power towing up a slight incline to where I would lose speed going 65 with my foot to the floor. The day after the trip, the...
Awesome looking ride! Leather looks great and I'm also jealous that I have so much more money sunk into my ride and I haven't finished the Denali conversion yet haha
Congratulations! I wouldn't mind getting a nnbs, but I'd never trade in my 02. I can't let it go since it has been in the family for over a decade and has been so reliable.
Just got back from a spring break trip. Drove the Yukon from Raleigh to Tampa and back. 218,400 and rolling strong.
On a side note, is there a bolt under the dash to tighten the brake pedal? Those potholes on 95 in SC made the pedal sound like it would rattle through the dash. Lots of...
I recently upgraded nearly every steering/suspension component, so from first hand experience I'll say that the thing that helped the most was changing the gearbox/power steering pump. I know that's starting with the most expensive option, but I had nearly as much money in replacing the pitman...
Thanks. I'm holding off on putting the side trim on because I think it'll look weird with the stock boards. I'm currently looking around for Denali ones. If that ends up being too costly, I'll try painting the current ones white to give a Denali look. That will only be temporary though.
