Hey everyone,
So I noticed my Tahoe making a new noise. It sounds like it is coming from the belt area. Sounds almost as if one of the bearings is going. Is there a technique on how to figure out where that noise is coming from? I attached a video to give you an idea of the noise it makes...
Awesome adding how many pieces is super helpful. THank you. I never done suspension before so slowly learning what that includes. Now I just gotta hit up youtube and see how easy they make it look lol.
Rocket Man do you by any chance have your grocery parts list available to share. I was thinking of doing this eventually to my tahoe, but I am worried I miss part or accessory during install.
OKay that makes sense my driveway is on slop where I park nose up and i always noticed alot of water comes out when i back out of the driveway. Thats what had me somewhat concerned.
Hey Everyone,
Behind the Ac Accumulator picture below there is a rubber house that has a 90 degree rubber elbow. There is a Lot of water coming out of it and will drip water a couple of days later with out the car being used. Does anyone know what that is? Is that just water from the AC condenser?
I had the same issue and did all the stuff everyone mentioned, and nothing worked. Finally realized it was the rubber grommet at the door that housed all the power mirror and door locks was not seated correctly.
That is usually do to a week ground somewhere. if you are only getting engine noise when phone is plugged into charge try getting a better charger. Usually cheap cable will pick up engine noise.
Thanks for your guys input. I finally got a garage and starting to do more of this stuff myself. Since I am saving money on labor I also try to find the best route or product even if its a bit more, but what you said makes alot of sense SnowDrifter. Since it is not somthing that needs to be...
Where in Monmouth are you moving to its a pretty big area. I grew up in manalapan area. So i can def recommend places to stay away from if your in that area lol.
Hey Everyone.
This might be a dumb question. Do they sell rear differential covers with drain plugs. Just trying to find a solution where i dont have to take the cover off everytime and can drain it like an oil change? If not is there a reason why?
Thanks everyone
okay does that mean the caliper needs to be replaced, or is there a procedure that I have to do to fix it. Just trying to figure out how serious the issue is.
So I ordered the R1 with Ceramic pads. Quick question I have been searching the web and keep getting different numbers what are the torque specs for the front and rear bolts, and what type of locktite do you guys use?
Do you guys know if I can install power folding mirrors in a 2001 tahoe? If so is it simply plug and play feature or does that require more custom wiring to install?
I don't think that will work the way you would want it to work. The suburban is basically the same as the Tahoe other then the rear being 2 feet longer. So all your mounting holes would be the same upfront and then the rails would stick out 2 feet longer in the back. If you wanted to move the...
Hey Guys,
I appreciate the passion. I really do but my goal was not to start a brake war lol. Everything everyone here has said has been very insightful. I never worried about what brakes to get cause the mechanic always gave me a price and that was that. Now that I am saving money on labor...
Not sure how much DIY your looking to do but there are people that have been using ATV ramps to make some cheap lightweight and beefy roof racks. Here is a link for ideas
