    4x2 v. 4x4

I think it's worth getting the 4x4. You can always leave it in 2WD and the MPG penalty is only 1MPG, so nothing significant. You'll be saving a ton of money by getting it at Laura, which will help balance out the nominal MPG penatly anyways.

    Front camera issue

This is the second time I've had the service camera issue. The first time was in January and the dealer replaced the camera. Is there anything I can do to avoid going to the dealer again?

Do You Regret: Short-Body vs Long-Body

I have both a LWB and SWB and while the SWB is easier to maneuver, I prefer the suburban because of the extra space. For me, it's the fact that I can load up the rear and still recline the seats as there is space to spare. In the SWB I wasn't able to do that making it less comfy on long trips.

    LED Taillights

All tahoes and suburbans come with LED lights in the back that are part of the parking lights/driving lights. However, turn signals and brake lights are normal bulbs. If you want full led you're going to have to look at GMC or Cadillac

    Width question

Does anyone know what the width of the suburban is with the mirrors? Planning to take it on the auto train and just want to make sure. Max they allow is 84 inches or 7 feet. The Yukon/Tahoe/suburban are 80.5 without the mirrors according to GM. Not very helpful of them to give it without the...

    Electric Side steps

http://m-amp-research.biz/Mobile/Portal/PartDetail/PartDetail.aspx?exppartid=6520643 I found these online. I saw them on a suburban LT today at Walmart. They look close to oem and seemed to fit the suburban perfectly. Has the led lights and everything. Hope this helps!

    Electric Side steps

I don't know if GM would allow the dealer to do that or even if they're able to. Plus, if you have an LT/LS you may have to swap out the computer for an LTZ/Premier which may not properly work with your car.

    Electric Side steps

Highly doubt its plug and play, because there's a button on the dash that controls whether the steps are on or off. Furthermore, the computer would probably need to be reprogrammed for the steps to come out with each door and to close when the doors are closed

Auto High Beam Lights on during DRL

While you're driving, does the screen and dashboard stay dimly lit? Also, even if they stay on I wouldn't worry too much as high beams wouldn't turn on until its dark - it's too bright during the daytime for the system to deem it necessary for the high's on

Upgrading 2015 featureless side mirrors to Denali mirrors ( I have an issue)

If yours didn't come with BSD from the factory, you cannot add it. It requires extra sensors in the rear left and right sides of the bumper.

4k miles ('17 Denali). Dealer wants to service vehicle?

I always follow the oil dash reading. It knows when it's best to change it and the first service interval should be around 7,500 miles. My deader says there "should be" a 4,000 mile service but it's just bs to get more money out of you

Help!! Liftgate motor has gone wack

I'm not sure if this goes in here or Exerior but my son recorded the liftgate going whack today. I noticed some noise back there while driving and I didn't know what it was but now I do. We've tried to troubleshoot and found that it goes whack when you press the unlock button on the fob or go...

Looking to buy new 2017 Yukon

Having both a suburban and a Yukon and going on extensive test drives with both I can say that the problem affects both short and long wheel base. However, if you carefully test drive (drive at all speeds) and are flexible with options/color, you can find a perfect truck like I did. Both of mine...

Power difference between 15 and 16??

I would say it's the adjustment of the pedals. I've noticed that the truck is more responsive when the pedals are closer to you than when they're farther because you don't have to press as far down to get a response. Both trucks have the 5.3 so that wouldn't make it feel different

    Mirrors 2015

I don't think adding blind spot detection (BSD) is going to be cheap. You'd probably have to add new radars into the back bumper of the car on the left and right, find some way to wire them up, and have them communicate with new mirrors you'd have to install. The sensors you have right now in...

    What I saw today
