Magneride replacement struts - need input
I posted this a little while back about the MagnaRides: SK-4261 has a 1" white spacer underneath the coil spring. That spacer lifted my '17 Yukon XL 2WD a Full 1" from it's original ride height. Replaced the Starter after it stranded my wife in the 7/11 parking lot. Easily swapped, took me 30 min maybe to R&R it. Chad- ss4chad

Doubeleive, I thought about a compression check but I don't think this would yield any results from the problem that nickbeckss mentioned. I ticking sound (in my opinion) is something light like a lifter or an exhaust leak or an injector. A Compression check leads me to think about a Rod knock...- ss4chad

17 Tahoe makes squeaky suspension noises
The Jounce Bumpers are used so you don't get metal to metal contact from either the Rear Axle or front control arm to the frame. Wires, plugs and replaced one coil yesterday. Still have #8 plug/wire to R&R but I have to remove the rear heater core coolant lines to get to the plug. Which brand of struts do you recommend for 2015 Yukon with Magneride?

When replacing magneride strut, do you need to replace full assembly or just the cylinder?
I'm surprised you can find a shop that will split those apart. Much easier to just replace the shuck/strut assy than to switch parts. Takes about about an hour to do the job, that includes jacking the truck up, removing the wheels, R&R the strut assy and installing the wheels and taking it off...- ss4chad

Anyone got the Black Bear AutoCal kit?
I was talking to a Tuner about tuning the Yuke to 89 Octane. In my head I am thinking it will get improved HP and gas will still be semi affordable. At a Kroger in Fort Worth, Tx. 87 oct is $2.89 89 oct is $3.14 so $.25 higher 91 oct is $3.44 so $.55 higher It's worth talking to him about it! Chad- ss4chad

Shocks were leaking oil and stiff as a board. Felt like it had rubber bumpers in the front instead of shocks!
