The good thing about this set is the variety and they hold well. But dang it...most of the tops peel right off when I try and relieve the pressure. I then need to drill them out.

Guys...I FINALLY was able to remove the old axle tube! The first part that came out was the tube and the axle shaft. Then I had to keep prying at the broken mating surface.
I’m just waiting on a new bearing and moly grease which comes in a few days.
Got it! I tried the plastic putty tool, but that wasn’t working, so I resorted to a clean, sharp chisel and tapped it ever so lightly. It popped and then I threw the plastic putty tool in to hold it as my wife was calling me to come in for lunch lunch.

I’m assuming you like it better with them disconnected? I took off the sway bar on my old Jeep and loved it. Recently I broke one of the end links and was going to replace it, but now I’m thinking I’ll take off the other end link.
That’s exactly the combo I put in as well (actually I’m letting the rear diff cover bolts bask in penetrating oil as it’s rusted to the max). Already had to drain the front again last night as I broke the axle tube. Went ahead and ordered Amsoil 75W-90 Synthetic Severe Gear. Two quarts cost...
