    Oil pan woes

I found the leak, no coolant mixing with oil luckily. It's coming from the top area of the valve cover, looks to be coming from the bolt? Unsure of what to address here if someone can shed some light on the issue... attaching a pic

    Oil pan woes

I hoped the heads wouldn't be cracked as I was under the impression the 6.0 did not have the defective castech heads. Bummer, think I will run out and grab some dye and do the same. Thanks for the help

    Oil pan woes

Loss of pressure confirmed. I bought this block tester and the test came back negative, fluid remained blue. It's odd because the engine does not overheat, it sits around 208 deg. The coolant loss is minimal. I checked the dip stick and the fresh oil I put in has not became milky. There is no...

@slypher25aussie appreciate the info. Do you have a part number by chance?

    Oil pan woes

I just hooked up a pressure tester to the cooling system, will report back if I have a loss of pressure or not. I have drove around 350 miles since and have not noticed any contaminents in the oil yet again.

Looks to be defective. Bought off Amazon and as others have noted in the reviews, it was a cheap Chinese part that was defective. Thx

Replaced crank position sensor, vehicle cranks but wont start

On my 05 yukon I have just replaced the crankshaft position sensor, as it was leaking pretty good. With everything put back together, the vehicle will crank but won't turn over. My understanding is that I need a relearn, but the vehicle should be able to start without this done, no? I replaced...

    Oil pan woes

Yes I cleaned the oil pan thoroughly and also the pickup screen. Is the reason for taking it back apart is because the small spring could get stuck in the pickup tube? Also yes I did replace the pickup tube O ring. I had a bad oil pressure sensor, and after replacing that I was able to see I...

    Oil pan woes

I have been recently replacing various points of suspected oil leaks on my 05 yukon 6.0L, including valve covers, oil pressure sensor, cam sensor, and now recently I did the oil pan gasket and pick up tube O ring. A couple days after replacing the oil pan gasket and o ring, I received a check...

05 Yukon drivers side foot pedal adjustment, seat memory and heated seats don't work

All these buttons don't work on the drivers side door panel. When attempting to turn on the seated heats, I hear a clicking sound and the light turns on and off quickly. Any ideas what to check for?

PCV valve removable from valve cover?

I do not have visible smoke or any abnormal oil consumption. Thank you for letting me know the "valve" is not removable, I'll keep things as is but doing a Google on the revised covers I can see a lot of folks having similar issues to what your 06 did, so I will keep this in mind.

PCV valve removable from valve cover?

On my 05 yukon I noticed the PCV valve hose was brittle and broken off, so I ordered a new hose, as well as a new PCV valve (GM 12567915). When attempting to remove the PCV valve itself, it appears to be welded on, or at least I cannot remove it from the valve cover. In the process of using vice...

    Floor mats

Anyone know where I can buy the stock Denali floor mats? I got a 2005 yukon denali and I don't have floor mats, but I would like the stock ones that match the gray floor and has the Denali emblem on them. Know where I can find?

Replace 2nd row bucket seats with bench

Hello - I have a 2005 Yukon Denali, I have the third row removed because I have a permanent audio system installed that takes up that space. With the third row gone, that only leaves me 4 seats in the truck, because the second row are just two bucket seats. Is there a place I can buy a bench...

    Recommended enclosure for 12w6

Hello, I have recently purchased a JL 12w6, and am looking for an enclosure. I have a 2005 yukon, and have the third row seats taken out, which leaves me a lot of room. I was thinking about buying this one, but do not know if it is a good brand, or if a box with more volume would be better...

    Mystery leak

Hello, Two weeks ago I had a leaking waterpump; I figured that one out as my yukon started overheating. This leak was right in the middle of the engine, I know this because I can see the leak stain on the ground. I should mention this is on a 2005 yukon denali. Now today as I was backing...

    Lowering 2005 yukon

It's these ones 24in http://www.nexentireusa.com/tires/suv-light-truck/roadian-hp I don't think the wheels stick out of the well, if you mean away from the vehicle. The right side taps the inside of the plastic wheel well thing when going over bumps though.

    Lowering 2005 yukon

I have recently purchased a 2005 Yukon Denali, and would like it lowered a bit. It came with 24" Moz wheels, and I was thinking of doing a 2/3 drop, maybe similar to the picture in this thread. I have almost no knowledge of suspension/cars in the first place. I would like to install the kit...

2005 service ride control / service tire monitor

I just picked up a 2005 Yukon Denali about a month ago, lowered a bit and has aftermarket wheels/tires (22"). Everything seems to be working good, and the ride isn't too rough except I thought going over speedbumps might be a bit smoother but nothing major. The service tire monitor warning...
