When my idle dropped it was because of carbon build-up inside the butterfly valve. Took some carb cleaner and a rag and rubbed it where the butterfly valve meets the the inside of the throttle body. Sheared off stud on pass side front wheel....
Manual for my Tahoe says to torque to 150 ft lbs. I do 140. No problems. Might be wise to put a dab of anti-seize on the studs before you put the lugs back on.- Kman

Good to know. Wouldn't it be making the noise all the time if it was the AC pulley? The ticking is fast and almost sounds like an air leak?- Kman

AC unit is making noise, should I be concerned?
I've noticed a fast ticking noise coming from the passenger side under the hood when the AC is on and it's hot out. Sometimes it goes away after awhile. Any idea what it is? If the AC is off there is no noise so I know it's the AC. When I'm out at the lake and it's 105+ out and I'm cranking the...- Kman

Rattle and/or Exhaust Noise....hmmmmm?
It's the rear O2 sensors. I have a 2001 Tahoe 5.3 and it takes Bosch 13474 for the rears. Kragen and local auto parts stores charge ~$68 each. Amazon has them for ~$40. So you save about $70 compared to buying locally if you factor in taxes and such...- Kman

Burning Oil
141k miles. I put the PCV valve from the LS1 into my truck. It's the one that doesn't have a ball valve, but rather a small hole at the end of the PCV valve. I believe this is the updated part? Part number of the PCV on the 2003 and up is FV410, that's what I put in my Tahoe. Old part was FV178...- Kman

Does your exhaust rattle at idle and low RPMs?
Glad to see You guys have the same issue. No sounds since I replaced the rear sensors. They are A LOT cheaper on Amazon compared to the local auto parts store. I could have saved $70 if I bought on Amazon.- Kman
