Actually, I hadn't seen these springs. If the photo is accurate, they might do the trick. https://www.hdcoilsprings.com/product/2021-2023-chevrolet-gmc-suburban-tahoe-yukon-yukon-xl-rear-coil-spring/
Does anyone have any experience with the brand?
I feel like you didn't read the thread. You can likely do it, at great expense, but you might as well wait for a full aftermarket system. For sure, the air lines are not installed. There is a reason you hear of more owners replacing auto level systems with basic suspension components than the...
"Like this". There doesn't appear to be a reason it couldn't be made. The fitting could be put below the spring stay, or maybe worst case, move the stay up to make room and have a shorter, stiffer spring.
Got an air spring to test fit. Unfortunately, it replaces the spring, which would mean a complete collapse if an air spring failed. Since they are only available with Magneride, I wonder if they can only be installed with Magneride.
And I'm a little nervous about the way it seals. The spring is...
Doesn't mean we shouldn't complain about it vociferously and let others know what to expect. It's false advertising. Ultimately, it's bad for shareholders, too, and should result in less vehicle sales. You can only pull the BS so long, before it catches up with you.
But yeah, there is a reason...
Our standard Babymax RST with 22” is stupid smooth on the highway, but still maneuvers way better than a 5600# truck should. I was worried about the short sidewall with towing a pretty heavy trailer and seems fine.
Our Babymax had injector codes, but dealer wasn't liking the intermittent nature and dug deeper. Found an braded harness at the alternator bracket.
Did any of you have a repeat occurrence once injectors were replaced?
Okay, the shocks listed previously are standard fit. I found an air shock part number and ordered it, but it seems no one has them in stock, so it may be a looong while.
Okay, Rock Auto does have the wrong pics for those part numbers, so I got gas shocks... Looks like you need two 85521600 air springs, which are out of stock, so we're on hold until the strike ends...
Rear air, not auto leveling. That's the _only_ way to prevent the squat. If you don’t have squat, you don’t need max tow. Mic drop.
But, yeah, I’d be plenty happy to buy it as an accessory. For Christ sake, do something, GM!
I'm trying to cajole dealer wrestling with my warranty repair for crazy system errors into slapping some OEM air springs on.
A service advisor at one dealer said he did this on his last generation suburban and just airs it up manually when towing.
I try not to laugh at each new service advisor that gets in on our oil consumption test as we cross the country and just tell them that just because a lawyer writes something down, doesn't make it true. Besides, industry expectation is cars don't consume oil. We've all seen most cars don't. I...
Huh. I added a signature, but it doesn't seem to show... Duramax
So, it's complicated. It's insurance after all. The manufacturer and insurance get together and decide who pays. Basically, if it could have been anything but a clear vehicle failure, insurance seems to take it. Meanwhile, the...
Did you check OBD codes? Mine was worse as far as random errors and had injector codes. They are pretty sure it's harness related. Dealer won't even guess how long it will take until diesel tech can focus on it, which is fair.
*So, yeah, an injector related harness was worn through at the...
Huh. Seems I'm the only one? We haven't gotten stranded yet, but two trip interruptions (one of a week and one 17 days) and serious driveability issues. Right now they are trying to figure out how to get us a loaner tow vehicle. Around 25,000 miles and had it for 19 months.
Seems...
Wha-aaat? They really should be so close you can't feel a difference if they have the same wheels. Must be the longer wheelbase. If I could give up the capacity and had a longer garage at the time, I definitely would have preferred the suburban.
