    So, has anyone found a way to disable the hill assist? It's a super big pain when trying to hook up a trailer. Actually, it's legitimately dangerous. Tow mode doesn't turn it off, and disabling traction control doesn't disable hill assist. Thanks, Dan

    6.2L or Duramax reliability

    You don't say you are going to tow, but if you are, get air suspension . There is no identified solution for squat on the premium suspension models. It's kind of criminal the tow package doesn't include some kind of static air leveling, given they have all the parts.

    It seems the air spring is inside the coil (think air shock), so similar to what you are saying. Sure, in failure it will drop to normal sag, but that's it. Also, think about it. This is a 1500. Having a 3500 style suspension is overkill. I can sacrifice a little durability for IRS.

    Yeah, obviously. That's why they offer an air spring option, to pump up the spring rate. But it seems obvious that should be part of the "tow" package. I'm going to have to study part numbers and see if we can just bolt up the OEM air suspension parts and add a compressor.

    Yeah, I got down to basically no DEF last week on our long term trailer trip and our LM2 said 500 miles to 65 MPH limit, so confirming. I guess you must have LZ0? Hope they don't change our software. I'd be forced to take more drastic action.

    I've found sometimes our Tahoe does and sometimes it doesn't, so I just do the manual gear limit when I want engine braking.

    Has anyone noticed if you remote start the iDash doesn't power up? Pressing the start button to enable drive controls doesn't seem to, either. I'm guessing they don't poll regularly for OBD activity? Maybe it gets power at start, but no data, so goes back to sleep.

    Whew. I couldn't do 6.2L fuel economy. 200 mile range? Heck, our GLS450 got 10 MPG towing, until it burned our garage down. We're at 12 with the 2022 Tahoe RST Duramax with tow (no air suspension) and hoping Banks tuning improves that a little and looking for a wind deflector to get us to 14...

    Sooo. Had a GLS 450. Air suspension worked great, both hooning around and towing our 26' TT. But I was definitely concerned about repairs, aaand it burned our garage down, so no more Mercedes for me. Plus, no more diesels in the Benz.     ? I'm taking performance over sound all day long. But at $5k higher sticker and probably more by the time the LZ0 gets in the Tahoe, yeah, I'm pretty happy with the bird in the hand.
