Replaced Bose head unit, popped and now no sound
Hi, I have a 2006 Escalade and I was in the process of replacing the head unit. I made the mistake of having the car on when I was plugging in the new head unit. The speakers popped when I plugged it in and now I've got no sound at all. I checked the amp fuse and it is fine. Any ideas? Thx!- drhill

AC control module part numbers and where to find? 2005 Escalade
thank you - this pulls it all together for me! I will go buy a tech 2, I tune all my own efi hot rod stuff so I'm no stranger to this kind of thing. -

06 Escalade oil leak rear of engine?
I'll be pulling the intake this week...so far it does look like some form of leaking at the rear of the engine. If it wasn't destroying my concrete driveway I honestly wouldn't care so much but I'm tired of cleaning up after this truck! M y other Escalade with 250k doesn't leak at all after a...- drhill

You are right, things happen and sometimes the repair does not work if you rush it don't prep surfaces etc. Always appreciate input and advice from an ASE guy. I was starting to see the signs of a bad o ring seal on the oil pump pickup (low oil pressure at idle etc) so between that and the oil...- drhill

Hi Everyone, I have a stubborn oil leak at the rear of the engine in my 2006 Escalade. I just replated the oil pan gasket with oil cooler gasket, timing cover gasket, valve cover gaskets and did a new oil pump and o ring and water pump while I was in there. AC control module part numbers and where to find? 2005 Escalade
Just throwing this back up to the top - I am a bit lost on exactly how to update the calibration for my HVAC control modules....it appears that not only need a tech 2 but a laptop with specific software on it? Also - is it just easier/better to replace the modules front and rear? thx! -

Yes, rear control has an auto setting and I have seen the control module box when I;ve had the rear ac area exposed on the truck. I'm in Southern California (Palm Springs area). Doing a quick search it appears Tech 2 or similar diagnostic tools are about 200 to 250? If I can buy one, are they... -

it's the auto ac head unit with the dual zone digital display. the rear is just knobs in the overhead console. Is this something I can try without having to go to the dealer? -
