OK, I give, how the heck do you change the thread title? i know I've seen many do that, and I think I've even done it myself, but now I'm not seeing the button or link to "edit thread"

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

I'm pleased to report back that @mikez71 suggestion of trying out a new Dorman TCCM worked! New module installed, did the learn procedure, and everything's working - all T-case modes AND REMOTE START!!! Thanks to Mike and everyone else for the help. Sorry this was such a wild goose chase...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

I finally ordered the Dorman unit today from RA. We will see in a few days if it works! Hmmm, interesting. Since they all use the same module now, it would seem as if I should be able to find someone that could reprogram my original 24261367 to work with the 2-speed. I will look into that...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

Thanks, I will contact them to see if they can help. One thing I was thinking about, regarding the fact that RA does not list a TCCM for single speed t-case: I wonder if the 2-speed one covers both single and 2-speed? I noticed that my original TCCM P/N is listed in the long list of OEM...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

Thanks for posting tha! Good to get their thoughts for sure. Just FYI, my Tahoe is a ‘13, not ‘09. (First one was an ‘09, sadly was totaled.) I also wondered why I didn’t see a single speed TCCM. Seems weird. Yeah vehicle speed shows zero in tech 2 before RS attempt.

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

I got an answer back from GMFlash (very quick!) - they said they did not have a software reflash solution to my problem. So I think your idea of buying the Dorman from RA is next up. Would they give me any hassle about returning an electronic module? I have a clone Tech 2. I've looked...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

I've definitely been thinking about aftermarket. I'd probably just go basic though, keep key ignition, factory fobs with 3x push to remote start. But I'm just OCD enough that I want to do what I can to get the factory system to work. Something is not working right and I want to figure out...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

Thanks. The calibration procedure is to learn the actuator motor for the proper movements for each position. That all is working fine - I can get 4-low and everything else. Yeah, I got excited when I read your post yesterday about the change in protocol. In thinking about it afterwards, I...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

Yeah, I played around with the Tech 2 for a while last night, I think you were right in capitalizing the IF - I'm not seeing a code. The only evidence of a fault is the one line that says "ECM Crank Abort = True" So trying to disable the fault in the tune may be a dead-end? Hmmm, very...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

I asked the local tuner I've used many times about this. He uses TunerCATS, but he thinks he might be able to help. He's asking about the fault code number: "TunerCats might be able to disable the fault code, if you know what the "P" or "U" code number is. Possibly there is an option in the...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

Yeah, I'm going to have to think on this one for a day or two. Talk of bricking the whole thing does cause a little concern for me. :-) Another concern I have is using my Chinese Tech 2 as a pass-through. I could just see there being some kind of GM prevention for that kind of thing...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

That's what I understood from reading other threads here and other forums. I'll report back after I've given it a go. Or more likely, come back here with more questions. :-)

Here's the video that makes me believe I should be able to use the Tech2 as a Pass-thru:

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

Thanks! 14-bolt doing great. No issues so far, except that I replaced my rear calipers not long after the swap. The old ones were creaking a lot. Replacement solved it. I'm hoping to use my Tech 2 as a pass-through, as I don't have an MDI. Do you know the current status of that? I found...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

An important discovery today - my remote start woes ARE related to my non-original t-case control module. We were on vacation over Thanksgiving week (not in the Tahoe) and I had a brainstorm: might as well try and swap back in the original control module to see if it changed anything. Got back...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

Thank you for posting these, Wes. I've read through most of it, will start doing some more troubleshooting next week. A few more things to look at and try, but am now wondering if the dealership would be able to troubleshoot the ECM crank abort? That or maybe I should just go with an...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

Thanks, the video was helpful. Yes, his solution ended up being pretty easy since he had a CEL, but it confirmed some things for me - in particular, with a RS request, BCM first does its set of tests, then if all pass, it sends the request to the ECM which also does a set of tests. Since I'm...

    Remote Start Troubleshooting - SOLVED

I'm getting back to working on this after a long hiatus - winter's here. I've checked/done pretty much everything listed in this thread. Some of them multiple times. Recently went back to the very basics: made sure Remote Start is turned on in DIC - check. Made sure I have AP3 RPO - check...

Does my radiator have an engine oil cooler?

I recently added the OEM oil cooler to my 2013 LT without the towing package. I replaced the rad with the Denso with integral oil cooler, and purchased the line set that includes the adapter plate. Pretty easy mod, HOWEVER, I was replacing the DS motor mount at the same time. Routing the new...

    2011 Escalade - worth repairing?

You bet! Love me some Vortecs on an older SBC. Heads, along with cam change, EGR eliminated, carb and dist tuned, itt moves along pretty good.

    2011 Escalade - worth repairing?

LOL, have had a 2012 Cruze in our family for 10 years! Eco model, 6 speed manual. I drove it for 6 years as a daily, my now 20 YO drove it while she was in HS, now my 17 YO son is driving it. Great car, had a few recalls and have had to do a PCV system retrofit on it, and a water pump, but...

Melted mega fuse holder near positive battery post

Replaced the positive cable to the starter with the GM OEM from RA. P/N in post #2 was the correct one for my '13. All looking good now. Ohm readings on the negative cable from battery to engine block and braided ground on drivers side were very low, like a tenth of an ohm. Thanks for the input!

96 Tahoe 5.7 leaving me stumped.

Yep, as soon as I started reading the first post I immediately started gravitating to fuel pump. Check pressure as others have said. I also second @OR VietVet in replacing the spider with the upgraded one if you haven't already done so. The original (1996-2001) had the injectors centrally...
