They identified the bad supplier parts in the 5.3 motors from Sept 1 2020 to March 31 2021 engine build date not vehicle build date. On the 2021 Tahoe and Yukon I would probably stay away from that one unless it was already repaired or outside the engine build date. When the vehicle is built...
I agree with you 100%, Diesel additives are a big waste of money in today's Diesel motors. But yes just stay away from those small mom and pop fuel stations and only deal with fuel stations that have alot of volume in fuel turn over.
You can log all you want if do your own oil changes your going to need a recipe also to prove your oil changes and the recipe will show what type of weight oil you purchased.
No way I would leave oil in there for 15,000 miles I don't care what kind of oil it is. Your mechanic is probably telling you that cause he wants your business on a motor overhaul.
Posts like this kill me, people go out and spend 3-500 bucks or more to try and get better fuel mileage but what they don't see is let's say you get 15mpg and spend 500 bucks on something that gets you 2-3 more mpg's which is never going to happen do you know how long it would take just to...
Probably take longer than 7yrs to recoup the cost due DEF fluid, oil changes are higher plus fuel filter replacements. I figured it up once with the up charge and difference in mpg vs the 5.3 and Diesel plus extra price of Diesel fuel price it was more like 12yrs or so. Alot of people buy the...
My wife's 2022 Tahoe LT I can open and close the tailgate with the FOB, once you open the gate press the button again on the FOB and it should close. Can't remember if it's a double press or single press.
Even if its true I would no way modify it to do that, it engages pretty hard at 10-15mph wheel speed much less 25mph wheel speed anything higher with the mod as I never heard of your going to leave parts behind inside the diff. I Usally try to have it at about around 5-10 mph till it engages.
Yes the G80 is locked or it's not locked. The G80 only came with the solid rear axle, it locks at wheel speed less then 20mph or 100 rpm differance between left and right wheel spinning. Alot of people don't know how use the G80 when there stuck as they mash the gas and exceed the 20mph wheel...
The first rain the Tahoe was driven in they acted weird in my wife's Tahoe and I didn't like the way they performed the next thing was turning the rain sense wipers off in settings, I don't need a vehicle doing it for me as I know when I need wipers.
Just be careful when reading complaints about anything, there are alot of people just do that just to bash the product and probably don't even own the product. Think of it this way I could join and Ford or Dodge or what ever forum and jump on the complaint wagon just to bash it on whatever issue...
Exactly what I do about every 4 or 5 months. I put just enough gas in there let it run for about 15-20 minutes shut it off drain the gas out of the tank and start it back up and let it run out. Also my neighbor electrician installed a main plug on a breaker 220v at my breakers box so all I do...
Stick with OEM, I have tried just about all the aftermarket wipers out there through the years and always got the best results from OEM wipers. The aftermarket blades start out great but after about 6 months they go bad. I get 3-4 years out of OEM blades. One thing I can't stand is noisy wipers...
Doesn't make any sense, my wife's Tahoe has HD and my 2019 Silverado doesn't have HD radio and I can listen to the same radio stations she has that are in HD here in Maryland in my Silverado.
If the remote is left in the vehicle the vehicle never completely shuts down, it's detecting the remote and staying awake and pulling down the battery. Happened the friend of mines caddy he removed the fob from the vehicle sitting in the garage and it stopped pulling down the battery.
