radiator leaking, what replacement is everyone using

I took the Tahoe to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes this past weekend and ended up blowing the radiator. It cracked on the front corner of the drivers side inlet tube, about a 5" vertical crack. Plastic end tanks, smh. So, I'm looking at getting a 3 row aluminum aftermarket radiator and have...

The best way to destroy your carbon canister is by topping off your gas tank after it has already clicked off.

    2016 Tahoe ppv console ?

@Bigmike750 I'm in the same boat. I've got my console in but no wiring harness connector, just a loom of bare wires. I also need to source a female connector to connect to the center console and match all the wires together. I'm not sure if thats the way it works or not. Theres usb cables...

What’s wrong with those tires on the pictures?

When i’m at the track (in the race car, not the tahoe, haha) I can get that same pattern if I scrub the tire too hard and overheat the rubber. I think it’s called graining. I would say that is indicative of a previous test drive peeling out around a corner more than of anything else. As...

Show off your 2015+ leveled Tahoes and Yukons!

They are stock police PPV steel wheels which have a 0 offset so it cleared pretty easily. I did the RC UCAs and I had very very minor rub on the UCA when turning full lock. I resolved that with a set of 15mm hub centric spacers. I did do the Norcal mod. Now theres zero rub, lock to lock, at...

Ordering parts for a regear, ring and pinion swap, have you ever done one?

Just finished with the job a few days ago and wanted to wrap up this thread, and give back to the community with the experience. The way I went about it was I found it easier to just remove the entire rear axle from the Tahoe and move it into the garage so I had space to work on it comfortably...

Ordering parts for a regear, ring and pinion swap, have you ever done one?

It's a 5.3, so a 9.5", it has the G80 and I didn't really know how to search for the different carriers. Thanks for that link, that made it very easy to find the GM PN 40090728 for the 3.42+ carrier, however that is an open differential carrier. I don't see any G80 carriers there. But I have...

Ordering parts for a regear, ring and pinion swap, have you ever done one?

Okay, so far the tools I've ordered: - Dial indicator with magnetic base - to measure backlash - 1/2 brass punch - to drive out bearing races without marring housing - Pinion/carrier bearing puller - 10 piece bearing/seal driver kit - Beam drive torque wrench - to measure pinion preload I don't...

Ordering parts for a regear, ring and pinion swap, have you ever done one?

I'm ordering parts to do a 4.10 ring and pinion swap in the 2017 Tahoe. The rear axle is a GM 9.5" 12-bolt right? It currently has a 3.08 and the G80 locker. From what I gather there is a carrier split at 3.23. I don't know if I can use the same carrier for the 4.10 or what people do. I...

    Questions on Suburban lift.

Have you measured your up/down travel on your setup? Front and rear (mostly interested in front, but also rear). Also do you think the UCAs were super necessary with that setup or just nice to have?

Hazard lights flash, turn signals do not illuminate

Resolved! First of all, I learned ignition switch needs to be in RUN position not only ACC position. Turn signals work in RUN mode but not ACC mode. Secondly, that device was a headlight flasher module, likely left over from upfitters, and had no effect.

Hazard lights flash, turn signals do not illuminate

2017 Chevy Tahoe PPV. The hazard lights flash both front turn signals properly however using the stalk does not cause any turn signals to illuminate. No clicking is heard. So the bulbs are good. The police upfitting stuff has been pulled out prior to me getting the vehicle so they may have...

2017 Tahoe/ICT Valley Cover has no PCV port, how do I run the PCV now?

What I am going with for now is to run an inline PCV from the drivers valve/rocker cover to the stock intake manifold port. I threw a catch can in the mix for good measure but its essentially that. The passenger valve/rocker cover will continue to source clean air from the airbox, as it was...

2017 Tahoe/ICT Valley Cover has no PCV port, how do I run the PCV now?

To dry the oil because it's a flex fuel vehicle. And the ECM uses torque tables which are very sensitive to unmetered air.

2017 Tahoe/ICT Valley Cover has no PCV port, how do I run the PCV now?

My understanding is that on the Gen V LT motors there is fresh metered air from the air box connected to the valve/rocker covers. This is atmospheric pressure at idle. The heads have a passageway into the crank case where oil returns down to the pan, thus it's connected to the crank case. The...

2017 Tahoe/ICT Valley Cover has no PCV port, how do I run the PCV now?

I emailed ICT Billet and had a few exchanges with their tech support. He said "We recommend two things, you can either splice it into another port or you can block it off it is not a required." Can anyone understand what that means? I interpret that as saying, you can route the intake...

2017 Tahoe/ICT Valley Cover has no PCV port, how do I run the PCV now?

I'm nearly done with my AFM/DOD delete on a 2017 Tahoe. I've elected to replace the VLOM with the ICT Billet valley cover (essentially a VLOM delete), and the optional oil pressure mount. I noticed the PCV line from the VLOM is absent on the ICT Billet valley cover. So where do I connect the...
