Yeah, been there many times myself. I usually try to at least open the box to visually inspect the part as soon as I receive it, though. Luckily, I've not had a performance issue so far that required me to want to return an item outside of the return window due to my inability to get things done...
The Michelins are always a top choice for almost everyone. They do cost but they last a long time and provide a good ride. I personally have had good luck with the General Grabber line as well as Hankook.
I think where people get in trouble is when they try to go uber cheap and get the off...
Does anyone know who makes the Summit Racing branded ignition coils?
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-850504b
Changed plugs and wires in Deathscalade this morning. My 17 yr old was helping and a coil broke on him as he was taking a wire off. Long story short, for now I’ve replaced that...
Please do a write up once you’ve got it complete and working. Either within this thread or as its own tech write up! I’ll sticky it if you can make it happen. I think it’d be valuable info to share :waytogo:
Hey feller, I toadya which ones to get if ya didn't wanna piss off anyone but still wanted a good rumble. but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....you went off the reservation with one of them yee yee mufflers. :driver:

I will be getting a Black Widow muffler on her but definitely not that! At cold start, the 6.2 already has a very nice sound at cold start even with the stock stuff on it but that Widowmaker would wake up the entire subdivision every day lol
Planning on running the lines along the frame but meeting somewhere near the hitch opening at one Schrader valve. For now, it'll be a fill valve but may do onboard air later on to make it easier and a more convenient system.
And here’s the “done” pic. I’ll get better pics once I clean her up this week. I’m thinking this is probably phase 1 and I’ll probably want to go lower with a spindle up front and a flip kit in back. At the end we discovered that I have a broken spring in my passenger side leaf pack so that...
The rear was next and it was the bear of the project. We put in a solid 12 hour day with only a break for one gourmet Sonic lunch and a couple runs to town for hardware. We made the right decision to take the bed off. Luckily Ryan has some equipment so we chose to use the tractor. That went...
I forgot I made this thread so let me update it really quick. Lowered it this passed weekend at a buddy's house utilizing his shop and tractor. After going through this I'm already making plans to go one step further with a 4 link set up in the rear. I'm researching that now to determine what...
Drop coilovers which can be set to drop 0-3”. Rear drop springs to drop 3-4”. I’m going to go for a 2/4 drop. Nothing crazy. Just a moderate drop that’ll look good and improve handling.
Me too, pal. I’m just giving you a hard time :console: I have to head out of town for business in the AM but when I get back I’ll get her cleaned up and share pics. Overall, she did great in the 3500 miles and averaged 15 mpg for the trip. Not bad for going thru mountains and desert with the AC...
Precision from O’Reilly because at the time I needed them right then and couldn’t order Timken. I was in the middle of traveling at the time.
With that said, I’ve had Timken hubs fail prematurely, too. None of them are a “sure thing”
