The cast arm one is for the read.
I'm a little confused by the comment 3-way with leads and the other referenced part number. Does that mean I'll need to splice some wires to make this work with the additional part they reference? Doesn't seem like it's a ailable on rockauto.
I found this part on rockauto which I believe to be the right part, but wanted to have you all double check. Does front left mean driver side?
Also, I have the Z55 option (not magneride Z95).
Yup! That's exactly what it is. I took a bunch more pictures, but you found it! Thanks so much for taking a look at this.
The only thing I've been getting very intermittently is a service suspension system that will just come on every now and then.
I'm wondering if this could cause that?
I'm going to take a closer look at it and see if I can get some better pics and describe it better. It's definitely not aftermarket. I'm the original owner of the truck and only started tinkering with it last year when I found you guys here.
It's this entire part and just looks like it fell off the post it's supposed to sit on (also pictured) in my previous post. I think it's just that clip that fell off that needs to be replaced (the Intellek cover/clip).
Hey Everyone,
Found a new issue today when going under to do an oil change. This is on driver's side. Pics attached of driver's side where it's no longer connected properly and on the passenger side where it all looks good.
1. What is it?
2. Is it just that cap in the center that holds it...
I connected everything up with and without the candi module and it won't read anything from the vehicle. When I run the test on the module, I can hear it click a few times, but the light on the module never stays solid. I get the message on the attached pic even though I can see it's interfacing...
Thanks for replying, Wes!
I did pick up a tech2...but it won't connect to the truck. I've been going back and forth for over 6 months with the company I bought it from.
I will check all of the connections and see if I can figure it out.
Everyone - I think I may have created an issue.
I have an intermittent service suspension system message on the dash pop up about a week ago. It seems very random. I can go on a 300 mile trip and it won't come on. Sometimes, I can just start my drive and it will pop on. I don't hear the...
Transmission fluid is clean - replaced filter and refilled fluid about 10K miles ago. I just have this fear in my mind too of finding the right shop to pull apart the transmission and not having any issues. I've got to spend more time on this.
It was perfect! Truck ran without any issues! I still have to make some decisions on the transmission to start rebuilding now or wait until it self destructs and put a rebuilt one in.
I go on a 500 mile work trip tomorrow and taking the Yukon.
How have you been, James? Life treating you well?
Hey all! Just wanted to check in and see how you all have been. The truck now has over 192K miles on it and cruising right along with no issues. It's been getting a lot more miles lately as my DD has been having some problems and I haven't gotten around to it yet.
Thanks again for all the...
For sure! Would love to share what I know so far. I've been slow walking things this year because I've been traveling a lot for work in January and the Yukon has been in the garage for a month. But I'm having issues with my daily driver - looks like it may be a bad oil filter??? Luckily I...
Hi guys,
Hope you've all been doing well!
Wanted to come back to one of the issues I've never completely resolved - and going back to my original post:
"When I hit the gas, the truck hesitates for a split second where it feelslike it hits gear a little hard (gear is a complete assumption)...
I'm a little late in saying thank you to all of you that joined me in refreshing the Yukon! We had a flawless trip with it to Florida and back! I really do owe you all so much. We're already talking about taking it down again at the holidays next year!
The only observation I really had was...
I actually hadn't touched that spare in 13 years and believe it or not that hoist still worked without issues (a little rusty now) with just a very light kick to the tire to lower it. I was expecting much worse!
I just went through this getting ready for a long road trip.
My tire was original from 2010 - it looked fine (no cracks), but I went ahead and replaced it since this is our primary family hauling vehicle. If it was only me, I probably would have made a different decision.
I also took the...
Ok, I'm getting ready for my next big investments in getting a long life out of the truck.
I think I found a shop with good reviews and had a quick discussion with them today - they seemed to be very familiar with the 6L80 and immediately mentioned the billet TC, so they are somewhat familiar...
Thanks for all of the responses!
Are you all familiar with anyone on the boards from the Detroit or Toledo area that may be able to recommend a good transmission shop? I'll also do some research on my side as well, but it sure would be good to have a reference. I've never had any transmission...
Was starting to think through some of my next repairs and PM. Are there any other weak points I should be considering? Remember, my goal is to keep running this truck for a long, long time.
I'm thinking I want to address the broken exhaust manifold bolt. In talking with my trusted shop (owner...
I know - it sounded like it was because of a bad experience
I think there must have been a bad experience of some sort - that was my interpretation of what they said.
This was back when I had seen their videos online and I was dealing with electrical gremlins for about 5 years and needed help.
