well did not do much as weather and work but today i finally cleaned all the pine needles and tree junk from it. blowing out the fenders ect. redid the door weather strip as i noticed it been leaking at the back of the doors the top weather strip was full of needles and also slid forward on... -

starter wiring help 1995
my tahoe is a 95 the transition year so TBI but the rounded interior every thing i look up says it should have a start relay... i have not found said start relay. so is it wired like a 88-94 where it just sends the ignition switch wire right to the S terminal on the starter? fighting a no...- Mater

not any time soon as i have a vortec 350 with a bad crank i was going to steal the heads and rollery cam parts off of for the TBI 350 just because i do not want to mess with OBD1 it will get a carb and HEI if i do the swap so when the 4l60 goes out i can use any year and an aftermarket... -

yup i have had a brand new rotor just fall a part less then a year. now i have gotten into the habit of checking new parts first just do to the recent quality hit even on GM parts- Mater

new brake lines came in and decided to just get a new bypass valve as rock auto has actual GM ones figure the old one lasted 28 years for the hoses i am just going to cut the metal crimps off and just hose and clamp new lines -

the plugs where carbon fouled with one plug wire not even connected runs a lot smoother now it did start leaking form the heater valve. undecided if i am going to replace it or just remove it started also looking at the rpo codes pretty standard G80 locker 3.73 gearing Z71 with the trailer... -
Dump EFI for Carburetor?
now yeah. use to be really easy as for a wile a bunch of marine guys would just rip them off for a carb set up- Mater

those gear reduction starters do have a enique sound. my 88 diplomat and 91 ram had one -

well grandpa has a mini starter just hanging around so going to install that in the tahoe. so far all my tests are pointing at a intermittent bad solenoid starter benches fine but in the truck some times it will just not crank and i just hear it engage the flywheel. engine is grounded even... -
Gap at top of lift gate
there are in and out left to right adjustments for the up and down gap you will have to bend the mounting hinge of gate or put in body shims. from them factory they did not use shims so i am assuming all the adjustment was in the hinge it's self over time when people open them to fast they can... -

well today finally got it to fire the fuel spray pattern on the injectors are god awful but i also think it has no gas so will try and put in 5 gallons tomorrow see if that improves if not i will add in and adapter to check fuel pressure does nto help it has been sitting for 5 years -
Now My DRLs Are Out.
could be a loose connection and the testing you did just reseated every thing. the metal part of the connectors can loose tension after a wile -
TBI (not vortec or obd2) crank no start 1995 5.7l auto trans need diagnostic flow chart
putting a conclusion to this tested the pick up coil resistance got 800ohm witch is with in spec so then took a test light to manually trigger the module by attaching one end to power and grounding the other end on where the pi ck up coil plugs into on the module and nothing. already confirmed...- Mater
