Looking for front brake pads with lots of bite - dust and wear life not big priorities

2013 Yukon. Is OEM the way to go? My front pads are at 25% life remaining. I want my new pads to stop me in a short distance. A search on this topic [here] led me to drilled and slotted rotors, which my daily driver definitely does not need, and in fact might even achieve the opposite of what I...

Anyone got the Black Bear AutoCal kit?

I recognized a scam like this and played along once. Scammer paid $20 for overnight Fedex. He never suspected "Wayan Jablome" wasn't a real name

Anyone got the Black Bear AutoCal kit?

***EDIT*** I realized I should offer a better incentive. How about I send $300 to borrow the hardward, when when I'm done I return the hardward and you refund $200, pocketing the extra $100? ... (Ooops my assistant sent a check for $2000 extra by mistake, you can keep the excess, just send...

Anyone got the Black Bear AutoCal kit?

At the risk of earning a reputation as a cheapo tight-a$$ i just have to ask: anyone have the hardware for the tune? Shannon at BB volunteered that the device can be re-used if i pay a new licensing and tuning fee, $400 total. Anyone for a tuning party in the PNW?

    Black Bear Tune: cold feet

First hiccup: Is there not a ~$400 option for 2013? I wasn't prepared to spend $700. Ill try to call tomorrow to get more info.

"Marbles in tin can" sound after installing K&N Intake

Running on K&N the past two days, 6.2L 2013, When the motor is cold, rolling on/off the throttle at low load/low RPN, I'm now getting a gentle-but-definitely-there noise. I want to keep anything else from breaking. Anyone know of this issue or where I should begin my research online or else...

    Black Bear Tune: cold feet

It was the "Just do it!!!" that pushed me over the brink, I mean edge, heh. Ordering tonight. Wish me well! I'll try to give detailed info re: how it went and how it's driving once installed.

    Black Bear Tune: cold feet

Obviously I'm late/early for the last/next sale, and it's not a truly small issue for me. Anyone have advice to help me pull the trigger other than "Just do it!"? 2013 Denali, 6.2L, stock except for K&N intake (was going to be my only mod). 79k miles. And do I understand correctly that if I...

Finally Installed K&N CAI in 6.2

Placebo effect applies, no doubt. I knew going in that would be the case. I'm just going to have fun at this point, and concentrate on a proper tune some time later. It's like many car mods: they aren't always the "best" choice, but they make the owner happy in the meantime.

Finally Installed K&N CAI in 6.2

[Before/After videos are on their way, but not worth waiting for, as the kid who started it for me to film couldn't take his foot off the pedal after the swap] Finally swapped the stock for the K&N today. Noticed: 1. Slightly better sound at startup/idle, a wee bit grunt-ier, but not a...

Cold Air Intake (CAI) on 2013 6.2L - worth doing?

The Yukon is back from repairs and paint, ready to install CAI. Except I need to get myself psyched a bit more first. I have no garage, nor even a carport, nor even a tent (I had a superb and affordable tent not long ago). When I don't mind the weather quite so much, I'll swap to the [dry---no...
