Agreed and was weighing the options as the opportunities showed themselves. We appear to be getting valid readings for now. If it acts up again in the future, then we can have some reasonable assurance that it’s not the sensor itself, and have the screen/filter already to replace.- 08TahoeVibes

Closing the loop here. We went ahead and replaced the sensor this morning and can confirm that the pressure gauge has returned to life. We ended up not doing the filter that sits below inside of the block as we ended up not removing anything other than the engine cover and you really are doing...- 08TahoeVibes

Bringing this hunt to an end here for anyone that might come across a similar issue in the future. We replaced the rear driveshaft with a Doorman replacement last night and for now the vibration has completely went away. j91z28d1 - thank you for the comments! We have a new rear driveshaft and gasket ordered. It will be a week or so for it to arrived and then probably another week before we can get around to installing. Fingers crossed and will post with another update as soon as we have one.- 08TahoeVibes

I don't see any indication on the bolts of the u-joints of the rear driveshaft to suggest that they have been touched recently. They all look alike and not like they have had any tools put on them.
