I have posted a previous thread concerning my 02 sensors and finally got one today because the truck took a major stumble at a stop light in 5 o'clock traffic. I said enough is enough, got one sensor (before cats) and removed both of the old ones to inspect both for carbon deposits and other...
So what are those pictures telling me to do?
Can I pull the plug on the 02 sensors and test for voltage to see if one is failed and what voltage would be normal? I know the voltage norm is very low but what should it read?
Would pulling the 02 wires loose individually looking for a change...
The truck runs fine.. I cant get the back tires to turn over from a dead stop, which I didn't think it would do anyways but I can get up to speed pretty quick. It doesn't act or seem like it's lost power since I have owned it. Matter of fact it seems to run much better since I did the...
Hang on, let me go crawl under it again to double check.. I'll take some pics

Oh ok, i looked last night with a flashlight and didn't see them but in daylight, there are 2 aft cat sensors that are kind...
I was right, I found no sensors behind the cats or muffler but did find 2 02 sensors ahead of the Cats... Any way to tell which one may have failed or do I have to replace them both?
I was under it the other day fixing the exhaust manifold to pipe leak with a new doughnut and I did not see any sensors behind the cat but I also wasn't looking for one either so I may have missed it. I'll look again.
The issue has just come up in the past week.. It is a light shaking/vibration when I come to a stop. Exaggerated it would seem as though the truck was misfiring and wanting to stall, but it is only a very minor shake and vibration with the same symptoms of what would cause my Yukon to break...
I checked all my wires looking for the cause of a slight mis-fire that I think I have and all the wires checked out OK I think. Are these numbers good?
Starting from the passenger side front of the block:
1.40k Ohms
1.02k Ohms
0.85k Ohms
0.86k Ohms
Driver side front to back:
1.20k Ohms...
1999 Yukon 210k.. Low efficiency in both banks but in South Carolina we don't have inspections so what kind of problems would I have is I cut them out and welded in pipes? A mechanic told me that Cat's don't just go bad and that it's something in the engine that is causing the problem. I...
As far as I can tell it's completely stock.. And as a matter of fact I sucked down a bottle of seafoam and let it sit for 20 minutes, fired it up and didn't smoke out the neighborhood?? Did I do it wrong or was it not that dirty? I poured it down the vacuum line from the cruise control module...
Whats the trick to getting the door panel off and what do I expect to find broken? The driver door and rear passenger door handles are just flopping around. The driver door got looser and looser where I was shouldering the door to get it to open before it broke. I know this is common just...
At idle for more than 5 minutes just having driven for 30 minutes, I stuck a meat thermometer into the vents and I am getting 58F to 60F... Is that good or bad or normal??
I have thought of that as well.... It's not the truck or the car beside me vibrating.. It's the gas pedal/accelerator pedal/throttle that is vibrating.. Other than the gas pedal being mounted to the firewall in some shape or form and only attached by cable and linkage to the engine's intake...
:Caution- Girlfriend insists on smiley's:
Needing attention as in replacing the gears.. Just did that on my 1966 Shelby Cobra 429 (replica) because some SH$*HEAD mechanic:flipthebird: (please don't take offense anyone, read further) drained the rear-end a few years back and replaced the...
The vibration occurs at all speeds under speed control (I.E. maintaining speed) and not under acceleration/load or coasting/unloaded. I get it at 20mph and 80mph and everywhere in between with no increase or decrease in intensity from the bottom to the top of the speed range mentioned...
I thought rear diff too but it should clunk when we come to the stop, not just upon acceleration. I have two wild anomalies with my truck that I have not encountered before in any vehicle. Actually my Jaguar used to kick me too and they said it needed grease in the drive-shaft splines...
No modifications. Truck is totally stock. Yeah I am stumped too. Everything seems fine, tranny shifts fine, engine purrs minus that infamous exhaust leek that I assume is the header exhaust flange. Tire pressures are good and even tread wear so I know it's not coming from the road. A guy...
I have read all the posts about clunking in the rear-end but mine are not the same. No clunk as I come to a stop, but as I accelerate right off the line I get a thumb in the back and as I pass through 4-5mph I get the second. This is not a gear change, and if I get on it the two bumps become...
First Post, (1999 Yukon 4 door 200k old body style).. For a month or so I was getting a weird vibration in the GAS PEDAL.. It was slight at first but rather consistent while at any cruise speed when I am only trying to maintain speed (high and low 70mph and 25mph). If I give it some gas to...
