Oh Yeah almost forgot. When taking out the bolts you can use a drill to make it go faster but when you are installing the new one, hand tighten if not the bolts will snap.
Thanks, it was easier then I imagined. Tools needed where 10mm and 7mm sockets also a pry tool. Scariest part of replacing was removing the air bag. As for reinforcing the dash I used 1 can of plasti dip.
Wow wow wow 5years later a new house a new born a union strike several jobs and a national lock down, I finally installed my dash. Lol I had to laugh the last time I posted pics of the dash was March 25th of 2016.
It cant be used two different types of plugs at the end of the cable. You can use the location of the GPS if your trying to hide the one that comes from pioneer.
Hey guys haven't been on this site for a while but wanted to know where exactly on the dash needs to be reinforced. I have a new dash that I will be installing in the near future.
I live in NYC I also have an 07 and since day one they have been stored in storage unit same temp all year round. I found that the truck felt heavier with the third row.

I am having close to the same issue the xm keeps turning off on its own, I have a pioneer HU in a 2007 tahoe. I can play the radio sd card cd dvd or iPod works fine but the xm may play for an hr or 20 mins and then turns off the whole system.
I am planning a road trip from NY to LA in 2019. Thats when I will jump into a new tahoe or denali. I want to get my money's worth out of the tahoe I have now.
