    Differential noise

I have a 2005 Escalade AWD with about 128K on it. I have some differential whine at 30-60 MPH. Above 65-70 MPH it goes away. Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 75w-140 synthetic to help reduce the whine? How did it work out? Is there a downside to it? I did a search, but did not come up with...

    75w90 verses 75w140 questions

I am sure this has beat to death, but I have not had my 2005 Escalde AWD very long. I am going to change the differential gear lube and am thinking of going to 75w140. I know it has to be synthetic. I have done a search but did not come to a conclusion. Both should do a good job. I am...

    Traded for 2005 escalade

I will keep it stock. Just easier to take care of that way. Should be good for hauling my motorcycles in an enclosed trailer. Sure likes the premium gas when you pull a trailer though.

    Traded for 2005 escalade

I wish it was straight across. I went from a 2003 Denali that was noisey and need tires and brakes as well as rear suspension to an 05 Escalade with new tires, good brakes, like new suspension and bone stock, gained navigation and dropped 60k miles for 5 large. I thought that was a good deal...

    Traded for 2005 escalade

I don't post very often but visit frequently. I just recently traded my 2003 Denali for a 2005 Escalde with about 123K on it. Rides a lot better that the Denali. I expect that is because it is in a lot better shape. Linda and I like the car alot and I will try to post pictures. OK, I think...

    What about grille guards?

Gzes, You won't need to modify it. Go to the Onki web site. They sell brackets or kits to mount grille guards to most anything. Diffent brackets and it will fit your truck too.

    What about grille guards?

Gzes, thank for the bid, I think I may have to go to a lot of work to pack it up to go to Texas. Anyway it is what it is. O yeah, I almost forgot. I was not offended. I got your point...remember I took the grille guard off mine.:Handshake:

    My '03 'Hoe.

Thanks for posting. I have traveld France about 5 or 6 times and love it. The people and food are terrific. I don't envy you having to fill that beast up. Must cost a ouple of Ben Franklin's. ($200). Take care and watch out for some of those really narrow streets in the old areas.

    What about grille guards?

I took the grille guard off my 2003 Denali when I bought it. I thought what the heck I can sell it on Craig's List. I had it on there four 5 days and no calls. Then I found this forum (cool place, and no politics, unlike the GL1800Riders forum). I thought, heck I can post it here, then I...

    Introduce myself

I will get some pic's up tomorrow. Too dark out now. It is bone stock, but quite clean and in good condition for it's age and miles. I do have to put new air shocks on the back and a new pump, but that should not be too bad a job. I do have a new set of Wrangles to put on it though.

    Introduce myself

Hi all, I just joined last night, but did not post. I just bought a 2003 grey Yukon Denali with about 170k on it. I did a search to figure out how to get the spare tire down becausse it had a leak. I found just the information I was looking for and then some. This place is full of helpful...
