Yukon Denali Real World City and Hwy MPG

Thanks for the info. I drive about 30000 miles a year so a difference of a few MPG adds up to a fair bit over the year. I guess I need to drive the denali. I'm sure I will be smiling from the extra performance of the 6.0.

Yukon Denali Real World City and Hwy MPG

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question so I'll apologize in advance if it is the wrong forum. Any way I am thinking about buying an 03-06 Denali and I was wondering what the real world mileage is. I really like the look and performance of the Denali but I am not sure if it is...

Installing Heated leather seats in 99 Tahoe

Well I finally got the time to do the seats a few days ago. They are in and functional although the heat on the driver's side is not working. When I hooked them up to a battery in my garage, the heater seemed to work fine, although it didn't seem as hot as it should have been but I was using a...

Installing Heated leather seats in 99 Tahoe

I am not sure I am 100% clear on the yellow wire. You said not to attach it to anything which is clear enough but then you said " In the 1999 Tahoe that wire in the seat connector was not used outside of heater electronics yet". That statement would lead me to believe that the yellow wire was...

Installing Heated leather seats in 99 Tahoe

Well since I don't have the correct connector on my truck, what do I connect the yellow wire to on the leather seat, to make it work as it was designed? Will there be a yellow wire somewhere under my seat or coming out of the seat belt?

Installing Heated leather seats in 99 Tahoe

What about the yellow wire on the passenger seat? I heard it is from the seatbelt switch so the heater will only work if someone is belted in the seat. Could I tie this in with the brown wire and just make sure the switch is off when not in use? I would like to be able to leave both seat heaters...

Installing Heated leather seats in 99 Tahoe

Thanks for the info! So you figure running a couple new wires is the easiest way? I assume I could just use the seat bolts for the ground. I guess i was hoping to rig a factory set up for ease of removal later. maybe I will still try to get at least the connectors from a donor vehicle and run...

Installing Heated leather seats in 99 Tahoe

Yes it is an off/lo/high switch. The seats have the connector you described. The connector on my truck for the power (cloth/non-heated) seat on the driver side is just missing one wire, not sure which one as I am at work right now. The passenger side on my truck just has a 2 wire connector...

Installing Heated leather seats in 99 Tahoe

They came from another tahoe of the same or close (96-99) year. The switches are on the side of the seats. I was wondering if I could go back somewhere along my wiring harness and add the wiring from a tahoe that had the heated seats. I can't get the harness from the donor vehicle as it was...

Installing Heated leather seats in 99 Tahoe

I bought some leather seats for my 99 tahoe (OBS). I presently have power driver's seat and manual passenger. It looks like the wiring to my existing driver's seat is missing just 1 wire but the passenger seat is missing a few. There is a pigtail under my pass seat that has 2 wires but that is...
